My favorite part of this Big Sky year was listening to the Altitude Color guy talk about how the elevation in Greeley was affecting the Cats and the griz... The worst part of this year was listening to the color guy from both women and mens games for Cat/griz. The Lady Cats were up by something like 14 in the second half, and he says "If the Cats can't get Semansky in the game, they will not beat the griz" The other guy pauses and responds "Well...they are doing it right now". And the refs for BOTH games and BOTH teams were terrible. Cats men should have won that game, but got out coached at the end...

No kidding! Obviously, Weber v. Montana will be the marquee match-up of the weekend. But alot of separation could also take place amongst the top 4 teams. Or, North Dakota and Montana St. could both get swept this week and fall back to the muddled mess that is everybody other than the Griz and Wildcats.

I'll be particularly interested to see how North Dakota does with this road-trip. They have been a horrible road team under our current head coach.

Griz had better play better basketball than they've been displaying recently. :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

VERY fortunate to be unbeaten in conference play at this point.

That's the mantra of teams that are winning and not playing very well. :ohno: :ohno:

Those last two games were at HOME. Should have not been contested like they were...

Two things in our favor: 1) back end of a weekend trip and 2) we get you at home. Hopefully the place is rockin'.

Those games probably shouldn't have been close in theory, but I'm pretty sure SUU & MSU played better games than they usually do.

I guess you could chalk up the Southern Utah game to the fact that the Griz weren't used to playing goon ball & that Heuir went a bit nuts at the end—turning a game that wasn't close into a fairly close one in the final minute.

The free throw shooting was certainly bad in the Bobcat game (not as bad as the Lady Griz earlier that day, but still), but I also got the impression the Bobcats played their best game of the season. They also played a bit above their station, making contested shot after contested shot after contested shot, and didn't come down to reality until the overtime.

One positive, though, is that the Griz won turnover margin against a Bobcat team that was leading the Big Sky in turnover margin coming in.

Weber played thier last 2 at home and they didnt really dominate either game, the Weber Sac game was a two point game with 3 minutes left before Weber went on a 9-0 run to finish the game.

It happens.

I sure hope Weber and UM both win on thurs, so that saturdays epic showdown will be that much more EPIC.

The Bobcat men upset Weber at home by 4, thus initiating Weber State's sinister plan to lull Montana into a false sense of security for Saturday.

Not that big of a shock. A mediocre at best Hornet team hung with Weber until the very end last week. No surprise a hot MSU team pulls the upset. This game just goes to show how wide open this weak conference is this year.

Meh. UM was bailed out at Sac on a questionable call in the final seconds. No one has looked unbeatable this season.

Most all the games have been on road so far, so that doesn't help.
How much money were they getting playing on the road vs powerhouse squads???
