ODU's first CAA football victim

Bob Molinaro is a complete moron. The next thing he gets right will be the first thing he gets right.

Remember that whole article he wrote about how the Virginia Destroyers would "never play a game and go bankrupt"?


Yeah, they played their first game this past week and won against the Omaha Destroyers. The lesson, as always, is Molinaro and most sports writers in general are complete idiots who have no clue.

If ODU fails to win another game this season I will never post here again and I'll mail Molinaro my life savings.

Our offense is far too good not to win another game. We've yet to be held under 40 points and we are 3-0. I'm not saying we are going to the FCS playoffs or anything but I'll be damned if we don't win 1 more freaking game this entire year.

If he knew ANYTHING about CAA football, he'd know that based on results so far, the CAA is having a fairly down year overall so if we were ever going to pick the right time to come into the CAA, this is the year.

God I hate that loser. You'd think your hometown sports writer would, you know, be pro ODU. What an *sshat.

C'mon now. Don't you know that Bob Molinaro has always been a giant Monarch fan. In all sports. He was just providing some good bulletin board material for Coach Wilder.

We should start out 3-0 barring upsets.
Lose to Delaware.
Then 3 "winable" CAA games.
Then the 4 game gauntlet.

We'll get hammered by Delaware and W&M.
So if we beat URI, UMass, and Towson, can we make the playoffs with a win against either UR, JMU, or Nova? That would be 7-4 with a 4-4 record in the CAA. That is the best we can possibly do, but will it be good enough?

With 7 D-I wins, I think it should be good enough for consideration to get into the playoffs.

Congrats to everyone who guessed UMass as Old Dominion's first CAA football victim. This was fun to re-read now that it's been put to rest - there's actually some intelligent dialogue between fans of different schools, a rarity among message boards.
