The gist is, he wasn't intolerant. The judge wished them well and helped get another judge to marry the chicks. I don't care what your man crush says, there is a difference between intolerance and a simple disagreement.

It's different on several levels.

Should a doctor refuse to save a gay life based on his religion?

You might want to reread the thread.

I compared a judge refusing to marry a gay couple to a doctor not performing an abortion based on moral and/or religious grounds.

You clearly went to the extreme and tried to equate those with a doctor killing a gay person by refusing to provide medical care. Well...unless you're saying that a living breathing person is the same thing as an unborn fetus in the womb.

Be careful what you say, or you're gonna have to turn in your progressive card.

a doctor killing a gay person by refusing to provide medical care.
Just as an aside, a doctor who allows someone to die by virtue of refusing to provide medical care does not kill that person.

And it's an important distinction. Opting not to help someone is not the same as attacking someone. We seem to have lost sight of that. Nobody should ever be FORCED to help someone else.

B) The Federal Govt. gives financial advantages for Marriage
The Federal Government could have offered the advantages to homosexual couples without requiring that the relationship be called marriage. But that would not have been sufficient because the real underlying motivation is to compel the culture to embrace a lie. That lie is the idea that homosexuality vs. heterosexuality is like having green eyes vs. brown eyes. That a homosexual relationship is equivalent to a heterosexual relationship. That sort of thing. It relates to New Totalitarians theme.

Homosexuals want to be lied to. They want to be told their sexual orientation is normal when it's not. And, unfortunately, they now have plenty of allies thanks to the American Psychiatric Association taking a position based on politics/philosophy rather than science and to about 30 years of brainwashing.

they are reminded every single day that it is not
