If more Christians knew the Bible, there would be less violence associated to them. Love and tolerance is all I ever got from the Bible.
Your reading comprehension skills have shown poorly on this site... so yeah I bet
And The Love in the Bible is conditional
and the Tolerance is hit and miss at best

I am not surprised that we differ on what the meanings of the books of the Bible project.

I learned tolerance in accepting people for whom then are, like people with perfect reading comprehension skills ;) . Unconditional love as how I look at my family, and to treat people how I would like to be treated.

None of that ^ comes from the Bible...
I'm not saying there isn't some of that in the Bible - but that's not where that comes from

You showed me most of what I needed to know about you in the Courtroom Prayer thread

Lets use historical data to review that claim...
How many Marijuana users have decapitated people from drug use (single digits I'm certain)
How many Christians have murdered accused witches (history shows thousands of examples)

Sorry 89hen
Christians show a HUGE propensity for this type of thing - there is absolutely a historical precedent here

:coffee:
If we're using historical data, what is the origin of the term assassin? Drugs (hash) and Arab (Muslim) killers...

Isn't history fun???

I didn't say that is were unconditional love and tolerance come from, I said they can be learned from the Bible, and in many instances, not just some. You look at the Bible differently than me, so I wouldn't expect you to find the same meaning.

The courtroom prayer issue is an example of expressing freedom of religion, albeit to the limit of the law, where others are reading it as separation of church and state and are appalled.

Well I wouldn't expect you to understand the Courtroom prayer issue...
In stead of it being an embarrassment to all Christians - The last thing Christianity needs is a judge making a mockery of the courtroom...

I'd say the beheading phenomenon is almost exclusively a Muslim thing in these modern days

but please continue to remind us of how things were when the world was flat and Lucifer was behind every tree
