I would say that we really do need a situation in which the national government does not have a monopoly on weaponry. We really do need a situation in which successful armed revolution is always feasible. We don't have it now. But we should.

Yes I know that's shocking. But that's what the original idea was. The central government should never be in the position to feel like the citizenry cannot overthrow it. The whole basis for our existence as a country is that the People have the right to overthrow the government, violently if necessary, should that become necessary.

We are, after all, a nation established through violent revolution with a founding document written to justify such violent revolution if necessary.
This was covered in V For Vendetta.

That was a lot of work, and probably funny.

Love the Sarah Silverman/Chiz part (although I don't know who she is).

One large error, though (there might be more, but I honestly don't know the vast majority of the names you listed):

No one would EVER think of 86 as a reasonable conservative. :?

You must have meant Gannonfan...you left him out. Or DSU. :thumb:

Now, for the truth...

Never heard of these people: Steve Doucy, Tucker Carlson, Michael Savage, Sarah Silverman, Dan Savage, Mumia Abu Jamal

Heard of these two, but could not identify them by face...and I really can't recall them saying or writing anything specific: Charles Krauthammer, Grover Norquist

Could ID a picture, heard short sound clips of (usually stupid stuff), but I haven't listened to: Limbaugh

Could ID a picture, and have listened to this guy less than a half dozen times. He seems smug, but I don't have enough info to judge him: Bill O'Rielly

I think I saw this guy on a video (supplied by a poster here on one of the threads) ranting about the cattle rancher thing. Guy was a dork screaming about communists...Chicoms, or something like that: Sean Hannity

This guy, I've read a book of his and I watched him when he was on some PBS talk show way back when. AIso used to read several columns of his in the newspaper. I think he is intelligent and well spoken :thumb: : George Will

But, glad you went with the bait theme. :thumb:
Googling Steve Douchey as we speak to see who I'm being compared with. :tothehand:
Steve Doucy. I remember him from Channel 4 in the 80's in DC. He did the happy stories then. Where is he now?
"Elaine, you're from Baltimore, right?"
"Yes, well, Towson actually."

Do we need police forces that look like mechanized infantry divisions?
HELL NO!!!!
If they want to look tactical, let them enlist in the Army or Marines. If they look and act like grunts, then they will start treating the citizens like the enemy.

Maybe some citizens shouldn't be taught from birth that they are the enemy. :coffee:

When natural born Americans awaken each day and find the "presumed" government "by the people, for the people" has been progressively preparing to go to war against the same people who created and empowered it...

...it is not unreasonable for Americans to act to replace their government leaders and staff. Our current government leaders are overtly ignoring and violating laws for the sole purpose of retaining their government jobs, and hence, their ability to influence policy and build wealth through extortion.

Our current class of federal elected officials is not merely lawless, but criminal. Repeated criminal acts, expectedly, repeatedly followed by unabashed acts to destroy or conceal evidence of those crimes, have become synonymous with the Obama Administration practices.

Law Enforcement agencies/personnel who act to support the actions and policies of their crimnal leaders, through their actions, are guilty of facilitating a criminal enterprise.
"That is how government works - we tell you what you can do today."
