Its not the colors man, you must think from a players perspective. UNC is endorsed by NEW BALANCE, so right off the bat you know they have sub standard cleats bc Nike makes the best skill position cleats. They're colors are fine its just the uniform, them must up the design bc it changes the player mentality when you know your being taken care of.

I agree as far as maybe changing it to Nike or something like that, but probably won't happen soon, that'd be more money that UNC doesn't have right now.

WoW, a Weber St. fan that doesn't have his head firmly implanted up his ass.
I would be more than happy to acknowledge the success of Montana, now Montana fans need to do the same thing when it concerns other teams, especially the ones on egriz. 8-)

It is just the first time that I have seen any Weber St. fan actually say that. You all seem to have the biggest chip on your shoulders and when you came to Missoula in the Playoffs you all acted the fool to a T. Nothing but bitching and crying from almost every one that I met. Glad you are a grown up.

It was just like Randy Rahe's first year at Weber, we tied NAU but since we swept them during the reg season we got to host. Weber State is Big Sky Football Champions, but so is Montana, and Im willing to accept that. We still get a trophy and we still get the tilte of Big Sky Champs, thats good enough for me.

But this year, Its all ours 8-)

Whoa whoa whoa! Now let's not get ahead of ourselves Starfox! I wouldnt say that Weber is gonna run the table in 2009 when you got:

the fire breathing dragon, that is a steadily great Montana
Eastern with 80% seniors(last time that happen was 2005-w payton award & BSC champs!)
Montana State with a new (& pretty good) coach that has his team hungry to get back to business!

And must I remind you of last year when Eastern snatched the wind out of your sail, then Montana took down ur entire boat.

and when it was all said and done, in Big Sky standings, guess who finished on Webers' heels? Eastern & MSU.

Heres My prediction for Big Sky play 2009:

1. Eastern 7-1 -playoffs
1. Montana 7-1 -playoffs
3. MSU 6-2 -playoffs
4. WSU 5-3
5. NAU 4-4
5. PSU 4-4
7. SAC
8. ISU
9. UNC

I see two getting in, Montana and a toss up between Weber, MSU, and EWU. Your conference has become top heavy to where y'all will beat each other out of the post season. Not to mention PSU and NAU can pull upsets and its looking like UNC and Sac St may too.

Plus the voting committee has an east coast bias. All the spots have to go to CAA teams.

It should be fun to watch the Big Sky this year. Maybe someone will finally knock Montana off its throne

You raise some good points guy, i hear you on the east coast bias. And as for the Big Sky being top heavy... your right, sac st unc and isu sneak up on teams all the time but they are always at the bottom of the conference. and psu & nau always finish around 6-6 and 4-4 in conf play. I dont understand this.

Question: Is it a perfect conference when *all* teams are 4-4?
or Is it a perfect conference when every season has a different conf champ? And in 9 years all 9 teams would have 1conf title?

This year, I think out-of-conference performance will be an even greater factor than BSC conference play in getting more than two Big Sky teams into the playoffs.

If BSC teams pick off one or two FBS teams in OOC play, and the top three finishers run the board on their OOC FCS opponents, it will help mightily in overcoming the east coast bias and make a three team playoff appearance possible.

Example: Montana, Montana State and Eastern Washington each finish 7-1 in the Big Sky, each with a loss to one of the other two teams. UM beats both UC Davis and Cal Poly to finish 10-1, MSU plays a good game against Michigan State and beats South Dakota to finish 9-2, and EWU plays a good game against Cal and beats Southern Utah to finish 9-2. In this scenario, I think it would be easy to send three Big Sky teams to the FCS post season.

Depends who you are a fan of. I like to see my team on top and the others making runs every few years. Thats why it must be nice to be a Montana or McNeese St fan. But for the good a conference its best to be top heavy. This way you get as many teams in the playoffs as possible and have the rest of the teams around .500. This is how the Southland conference was last year and it made it a lot of fun.

Hey if you guys want to be all pissy because one of your busses hit a fucking deer, so be it. Don't blame Montana fans for it. If you start some rabble rousing, and get some back you better take it like a man. Your fans sure acted like UNH at that game. I met maybe 20 fans and 2, a wife and husband, were good people. The rest were nothing but cry babies about seeding, having to play MT again, the way the game turned out, the play calling of the coach......your fans got a taste of success, act like you have been there before.

When you see the athletic department fixin up the stadium here and there ( even very small fixes) you start to get a sense of confidense and school pride, and when your uniform design is changed and the team gets a new look.. you feel good.

The AD has put some upgrades into Nottingham since we moved up. We've also got the nicest practice fields in the conference, even better then CSU in Ft. Collins, better then Florida Gators practice fields.

That is one thing i dont get. Why put so much money into your practice facilities when your stadium and its field could use some work? that doesnt make any sense at all.

:lame: The immature WSU students who sat in the end zone were the only whiners I know of at the game. In truth, the Weber kids deserved to be pissy because of the even more immature (and drunk) UM students who harrassed them and disrespected at least one elderly woman who was with them in that section. :wtf:

There was another, larger Weber contingent behind the Weber bench. Of the several hundred persons in this area I recall several dozen friendly exchanges between Weber and Montana fans. :D

Although the players complained of harrassment from the UM fans seated directly behind our bench, I don't recall any nasty exchanges among fans.

Yes, it's true, the children on the WSU blog site and sometimes the BSC blog site whined, but not on the national blog sites. Anyway there are only about 4-5 Wildcat bloggers in the whole world outside of their own blogspace and I write about half the posts. :beer2:

We received lots of comments from your fellow Grizz fans apologizing for the incident(s) in the end zone seating area last year. Pushing around and screaming drunken obscenities at an elderly lady is as lame as it gets. Apologies accepted.

Fortunately for everyone, those type of incidents are outnumbered 50 to 1 by positive experiences! :!:

Your program is great! Your coaching is great! Your recruiting is great! Your players are great! Your facilities are great! Moose Drool is great! ...and the vast majority of the NUMEROUS Grizz fans are really great! "Great! Great! Great!"

Weber cannot achieve greatness without beating great opponents, as we did last year against Montana during the regular season, against Cal Poly in the playoffs, and other special games. I really appreciate the honor and opportunity to come to go back to WA GRIZ on Halloween and play your team. I hope we win and I think we just might be able to do so. 8-)

I promise you, unless the Weber fans abuse an elderly lady at the game, or the WSU players do something disreputable or somesuch, I will not be returning with my tail between my legs.

Just because some Weber fans were babies doesnt mean they all are, Im not. It was sad, but I got over it and now Im looking forward to the next season.

And just because most of the griz fans on egriz are all ignorant jerks, doesnt mean that all grizzly fans are.

ACT LIKE YOUVE BEEN THERE BEFORE
i dont understand that... If i would have made it to the NC game I would have fvckin BALLED OUT no homo. and I expect the EWU fans to do the same. Bitch, whine, and boo when stuff doesnt go our way. *thats* what i want fans to do. on both sides, it makes it more fun as a player for the crowd to be a CONSTANT factor... on either side.

Theres nothin better than when a ref calls a bs penalty and a drunk guy sitting in the endzone seat yells "Aww give me a Fvckin Break!" 8-)

When you see the athletic department fixin up the stadium here and there ( even very small fixes) you start to get a sense of confidense and school pride, and when your uniform design is changed and the team gets a new look.. you feel good.

"When you look good, you feel good.
When you feel good, you play good.

Is that bear wearing eye liner?
When you play good, they pay good."

-Deion Sanders

I agree as far as maybe changing it to Nike or something like that, but probably won't happen soon, that'd be more money that UNC doesn't have right now.
If it looks like a cow, smells like a cow, and moo's like a cow, it's a UC Davis coed.
