The power of the militia resides in the hands of the people, it is not delegated to the United States through the constitution.

It is ridiculous to think you need permission to have a citizen militia.

Where does it say congress decides who is and who isnt a militia? Congress doesnt create militias nor can they.

By calling on all able bodied men to muster at a specific location for defense of the state, would that not be the Government creating a militia?

Since I'm 30 and able bodied i'm part of the "unorganized militia." But i'm not part of some paramilitary reserve force that works outside the federal government.
