I'm still trying to figure out why it matters what percentage of the administration voted Liberal or Conservative...?
Pretend like I was a child and explain it to me: Why it matters
What does it show me (one way or the other) ?

Why does it have to matter? You blather on about a lot of things that don't matter. It's my turn. Start your own thread.Chizzang wrote:I'm still trying to figure out why it matters what percentage of the administration voted Liberal or Conservative...?

Re: Compassionate Liberals
Maybe the Colorado folks were concerned about gender ambiguity?
It's truly amazing that some of these schools are endorsed by the state.
The good news is that by leaving, little Sunnie will automatically be smarter than every kid in her old school.

The 8-year-old has very short hair and likes to wear sneakers, jeans and t-shirts. And she enjoys playing sports at school.
Her family received a letter from Timberlake Christian School telling them that if Sunnie refused to follow the school’s “biblical standards” she would be refused enrollment next year.
“(W)e believe that unless Sunnie as well as her family clearly understand that God has made her female and her dress and behavior need to follow suit with her God ordained identity that TCS is not the best place for her future education,” the letter said.
The letter went on to say that students aren’t sure whether Sunnie is a boy or girl. And it states that administrators can refuse enrollment for condoning sexual immorality, practicing a homosexual lifestyle or alternative gender identity.
“You’re probably aware that Timberlake Christian School is a religious, Bible believing institution providing education in a distinctly Christian environment,” the letter read.

I think Sunnie will be happier being with more kids that have similar interests.kalm wrote:Maybe the Colorado folks were concerned about gender ambiguity?

Catholic schools and churches have to be one of the most politically evenly split groups around. I don't think you could find a cohesive group closer to 50/50. My son's school is actually more like 60/40 Dem based on his observations and the size of the Young D and Young R clubs.kalm wrote:How is that a conservative thing? The Catholic General population is about 50/50 Liberal Conservative
I remember an article in the 1990's asking "why are so many Catholics voting Democrat"

Saw that. Pretty sad that it wasn't unanimous. I'm thinking the no vote probably isn't fit to sit on the board of a Christian school.89Hen wrote:So the board voted to allow the girl to stay in school.![]()

The only thing that I would like to point out is that the school is a charter school, not a public school. They are not bound by the same rules and you agree to those rules. If you don't like their rules, go somewhere else.
Speaking specifically to the kid getting kicked out, I would pull my kid from that school. It is obvious that the administration has no clue how to make any kind of a decision on their own and use any common sense. You would think highly educated people would learn to make some kind of decision and use their brain at some point but it is only getting worse. It is really too bad that common sense isn't very common these days.......

Got my news stories mixed up. There was a girl kicked out of Timberlake Christian School in Va this week because she had a tomboy haircut.89Hen wrote:This isn't a Christian school.BlueHen86 wrote:

My comment stands though. The no vote shouldn't sit on the board of a Christian school.
Re: Compassionate Liberals
Further analysis would probably reveal the 50/50 to be Female Dem and Male Conk.Chizzang wrote:This ^ is actually a true statement89Hen wrote: Catholic schools and churches have to be one of the most politically evenly split groups around. Women are marginalized by the catholic church more than anyone. Restrictions on birth control, stance on abortion, limited female involvement in church decisions and leadership, patriarchal hierarchy, brutality against children, historical role of husbands to dominate spouses, marginalization of nuns, absurdity, restrictions on divorce and the devastating effect on women by trapping them in unfulfilled and abusive marriages, sick fuck priests and husbands and fathers who abuse girls by forcing them into that horrible male-centered cult.
