Heard that on television the other night and thought of Joe.
Not for nothing, but the National Law Journal just ranked Fordham the 19th best law school in the country, one behind USC and one ahead of Notre Dame, measured by job placement.

Also note that Fordham ranks as the 15th most difficult law school to which to gain admission.
But Lewis Litt on Suits called Fordham third-tier and he carries a lot more weight than the NLJ. Besides, job placement just means that the school has managed to place a place enough incompetent boobs in positions of authority where they hire more incompetent boobs from their alma mater. It's a self perpetuating Peter Principle at its finest. :poke: ;)

I like Bill Maher, and I like his show. To his credit, he tries to get opposing views on his show and he lets them talk. Ann Coulter and Darryl Issa have been on many times.

I don't take Maher seriously though. He is funny at times and he raises good points, but he is not always correct.
He'll be the first to admit it too. He's constantly basing Obama.
As I recall, he used to bash Clinton too. He'll bash anyone who he think deserves it, although he does give the left more slack.

Show me where producing lawyers is part of the mission of jesus christ?

Yeah, sure, some do charity work, but an objective analysis reveals lawyers to be the catalyst in just about every evil and failing in government and society.

Lawyers doing charity work is like the doctor walking around with a baseball bat breaking people's legs then setting the fractures. They're a menace and one would be hard pressed to find anyone not in agreement with this.

So, WTF, I'll take the bait. Third-tier? This ranking by LSAT has Fordham Law tied at No. 8.

The media undergraduate GPA of students entering Fordham Law is 3.67, and there are many students who studied undergraduate at Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, and similar schools. You can't swing a dead cat at Fordham Law without hitting an Ivy Leaguer.

So it's not Harvard. Its numbers are still among the best in the nation. It is silly to call it "third-tier." It is plainly a first-tier school which, incidentally, is opening a brand new $250 million building at New York's Lincoln Center, designed by the Pei Cobb architectural firm.

You know...and correct me of I'm wrong, but I'm beginning to get the impression you don't like Bill Maher, or something...

And coming from you, the king of substantive arguments and non sarcastic, and non trolling posts, this is rich!
Youre right i dont like Maher. I think he's mean spirited - being funny would ameliorate that some, but he isnt funny. Jon Stewart is funny. So is Colbert and Dennis Miller. Maher is just a prick. And his squinty eyes remind me of the kid with the coonskin hat on the Christmas Story.

Nah…that would be UW, WSU, and Gonzaga grads. We are a teachers school who has a budding criminal justice program, and solid biology department. You might say we try and enlighten kids through an appreciation of education and scientific inquiry, while training some of them to throw Huskies, Cougars, and Zags in the hoosegow. :thumb:
