Good (long) analysis of the EWU offense vs. UM defense matchup here…

because of course Adams leads the FCS in pass efficiency. JJ is 5th.While his efficiency ratings aren’t Jordan Johnsons...

Well, to be fair he wasn't wrong. His efficiency ratings AREN'T Jordan Johnson's...they're better.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Great read, thanks for posting it. Only qualm I had wasMvemjsunpx wrote:Good (long) analysis of the EWU offense vs. UM defense matchup here…

Yes, in garbage time. We didn't have starters playing in the 4th quarter of that game, unlike MSU.CatBlitz22 wrote:You gave up more points to them than we did and only scored once more yourselves. Agreed it's very solid analysis. But I would also quibble with rushing analysis. We ran the ball quite effectively against both OSU and SHSU.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Great read, thanks for posting it. Yeah, I wasn't sure what he meant either. I guess TD:INT ratio?Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Great read, thanks for posting it. Only qualm I had wasMvemjsunpx wrote:Good (long) analysis of the EWU offense vs. UM defense matchup here…

Griz must find way to contain slippery QB
His rise to prominence has been so meteoric, you wonder how sophomore Vernon Adams Jr. ever ended up in the Big Sky Conference.
He wasn’t exactly a benchwarmer in high school, passing for 5,234 yards and 49 touchdowns and running for another 1,263 in his last two years at Alemany near Pasadena, Calif. On top of that, there’s so many college football recruiters prowling SoCal, it’s a wonder he ended up in chilly Cheney, Wash.
“Definitely it had to do with the national championship,” said the sophomore, referring to Eastern Washington’s FCS title in 2010. “Eastern was the first school to offer. The national championship, the red turf, the great coaches, great receivers, the O-line – that’s it really.

I made two mistakes in writing it yesterday. First I didn't proofread my own writing and second I used old data.Mvemjsunpx wrote:Yeah, I wasn't sure what he meant either. I guess TD:INT ratio?Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:

My inference was this and what I meant to make: Vernon Adams hasn't been as clean as Jordan Johnson has been (until last week). Six picks and a few fumbles through 7 games probably is a bit disconcerting to most people but not so much when you have accounted for 30 plus touchdowns over those 7 games.
I appreciate you guys taking a peak at the blog. Hopefully I will have one more out before the game on Saturday. Thanks for reading. Enjoy. GF24

http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2013/o ... a-move-on/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;Eagles expect physical game
Last year in Cheney, the Grizzlies offense dominated the line of scrimmage in the middle quarters and ran the ball 61 times for 407 yards before the Eagles rallied to win 32-26.
The Eagles expect more of the same Saturday. The Grizzlies are averaging 5.2 yards a rush, led by the same back, Jordan Canada, who ran for 169 yards on 19 carries last year at Roos Field. Newcomer Travon Van, a transfer from Marshall, is averaging 6.3 yards per rush and has four touchdowns this year but is questionable with a high ankle sprain.
“Most importantly, they like to smack the defense in the mouth,” Lee said.
The Eagles plan to push back.
“They look pretty physical, so it should be fun,” Eastern defensive end Evan Day said. “We’ve got some stuff in mind, but I’m not going to say much about that right now.”

Van is out, not questionable, I believe. But don't worry, Counts will make up for it by smacking some bitches in the mouth.

That story about Adam's is funny.......the reason he is at Ewu is he didn't have the grades to go anywhere else.
He's not a high "caliber" student

Where did u get 6-2 from? That's pretty fxcking optimistic thinking don't u agree? If they lose to EWU they'll probably drop another. Let that marinate u bizon fanboy.

They're 6-1 now. Lose to EWU and they are 6-2.
Grizz have:
EWU
Sac State
USD
Weber State
MSU
Tough games are EWU and MSU....split them and they finish 10-2 with a seed; even 9-3 they are in for sure.
EWU has 2 loses already. They play at Montana, Cal Poly and have MSU at home...3 tough games yet to play on their schedule. Lose 2 and you are coming to Fargo....which I hope happens this year. I want to see Adams play against the Bison defense.
