Right, but the fumble call specifically had no actual impact on the outcome of the game, like 1122 said. Why is it so difficult for you guys to understand that?

You don't think Cal Poly losing possession at the CP 45 leading 14-7 would "have any impact on the game" vs. Montana having the ball on the CP 45 you must be out of your mind.

Will you admit that the call was BS? or...?

What about that "pass interference" call.. on Montana 3rd and long.. you're fine with that one too?

Because it fits the whole "Montana never wins legitimately" mantra the rest of Big Sky fandom has adopted forever? ;)

The Griz did nothing with the possession they gained from that call, and Poly got the ball back at almost the exact same spot. Were you watching the same game as the rest of us? :dunce:

Who knows what would have happened had Cal Poly had the ball (and momentum) on our 45 2nd down up 7.. The referees decided we shouldn't have the ball and a bunch of Montana fans agreed- who cares what actually happened? As long as Montana gets the football. Even if it's a completely BOGUS BLOWN CALL A HIGH SCHOOL referee would have noticed- a referee huddle- and they still decide that's a fumble WHAT A FUCKING JOKE!!!

Again, the Griz didn't even score on that possession. Zero impact on the outcome of the game.

You guys won- who cares if it was due to totally nonsense calls- winning is all that matters, right?

Montana is an elite program, there is literally no team I prefer to see play Cal Poly. They won Cal Poly lost. I take nothing from the team at all. I'm simply saying that bad calls had an affect on the game...and they did.

Dude, you're arguing just for the sake of arguing (and because you're combative against Griz fans).

You're arguing a completely hypothetical situation. Saying "it affected the game because Cal Poly could have gone down and scored" is equally as redundant and stupid as me saying "they got a break with the fumble because they could have thrown a pick-six on the next play".

Based on what actually happened, it affected nothing about the outcome. They wanted the clock to run down, and we gave it back to them in the exact same spot they were at with less time than had they ran plays themselves. If anything, it helped them.

They still had a chance to go down and make it a two-score game, and couldn't.
Total BS. I cheered for the Griz to win, I always cheer for the Montana teams, and for anyone to say the call didn't effect them by changing momentum is a blind fan. It isn't about Cal Poly scoring or not. It is about keeping the momentum going and building on it. Simple.

Wrong.

You think a team driving, with not much time left, up 7 that gets raped on a bogus fumble call doesn't affect the game?.. wow.

So they didn't gain any momentum when they stopped the Griz on 4th down and got the ball right back? Give me a break.

It's absolutely amazing that some of you are saying this "had no affect". Any time one team gives the ball up on a fumble it affects the game . In this case an official gave the ball to Montana ... I don't care if they get the ball and then March backwards 65 yards into their own end zone, score or go 3 and out.....it affects the game.

Did they score on that possession...no

Would CP have scored had they kept the ball...chewed up 6 minutes of clock....I guess we will never no....do you know why?

Because bozo the referee gave the ball to the wrong team and it had an affect on the game. Duh.

Sorry, but TERRIBLE officiating decided this game that CP dominated.

Maybe we can get some Referees from my local San Luis Obispo High School to officiate the next game - This was a total and complete joke.

Let's see what you say if there is a very close game (Montana Up 7 here in SLO), and the Montana running back happens to "fumble" (even though he obviously didn't) during an an important drive that turns the entire game.

You must be insane. I haven't read anywhere that anyone said that the fumble was really a fumble. This is why your 9/11 truthers are impossible to talk to. You just keep on harping and yelling until everyone else gets fed up with your constant babble and walk away.

Like I am going to do right now :tiptoe:

You even said that coaching played a big part in CP losing...why harp on ...nope...not going to continue

I think the only sore one here is Mr. Tinfoil Hat. Every Cal Poly fan I have met, and most of them on the boards are stand up people. No need to lump them in with basement boy.

No tin foil going on here- just obvious blown calls a high school referee could have called correctly-

Great win Montana! You guys deserved it!

What's hilarious about this is this is the first time in 1150+ posts I've seen expandos give two shits about football. On a football message board.
