So companies don't want to have to use union workers... that's not surprising. But when you have to have a law forcing people to join unions in order to make unions work... well something's amiss there.

I'm neutral on unions as well and perhaps I'm getting this issue wrong, but if a majority of workers vote to unionize, why should someone be able to take advantage of their wages and benefits without joining? Aren't unions workplace democracies? It's not as if you are forced to look for a job at a union shop.

And Cleets is spot on about banking, at least the TTBF/financials. Every bit as corrupt and harmful as unions, if not more. The conk "producer" myth shields them well.
