Note to self: never pick the MEAC in the playoffs unless they're up against someone as bad as Idaho State.

You should give PL fans lessons on being realistic about their teams' conference.

And even then we would find a reason to lose against them.Mvemjsunpx wrote:Note to self: never pick the MEAC in the playoffs unless they're up against someone as bad as Idaho State.
The MEAC needs to fold but where would its members go?
We play to be king of the sandbox and get our asses whooped when we go out on the playground with the other kids. But hey at least we're king of the sandbox. BCU was our best team this season. And look where that has gotten them. I don't know how else to fix it other than for the teams to be dispersed among other regional FCS conferences....but who would want us?

Re: CCU @ Bethune-Cookman
Look at Tennessee State. They're in the OVC and although they still play an HBCU heavy OOC schedule (to their detriment IMO), they're MILES ahead of where the other two HBCU conferences are. Why? Because they play and compete against school that desire to compete on a national level. The MEAC and SWAC don't do that.

Re: CCU @ Bethune-Cookman
Then both the SWAC/MEAC need to change their mindsets. There was a rumor that the SWAC was trying to get Tenn St to rejoin the conference they left in'84?????DSUrocks07 wrote:Look at Tennessee State. Re: CCU @ Bethune-Cookman
If that is the product the MEAC fans want, then it won't change. Hate to bring womens basketball into this, but Montana womens basketball used to be a legit top 25 contender back in the early 90's, only to see the rest of the conferences pull away. Why? Because everyone is happy with Montana only recruiting Montana girls and the product they provide. There aren't any cries for them to get better.DSUrocks07 wrote:And even then we would find a reason to lose against them.Mvemjsunpx wrote:Note to self: never pick the MEAC in the playoffs unless they're up against someone as bad as Idaho State.

I assume it is the same with the MEAC. They like the product they have and aren't willing to look elsewhere.

Re: CCU @ Bethune-Cookman
Again both leagues need to start playing a stronger non conference schedule. And if they take their lumps as everyone knows they will then so be it.The point is GET OUT OF THE SANDBOX AND SOCIALIZE WITH OTHER KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!DSUrocks07 wrote:And even then we would find a reason to lose against them.Mvemjsunpx wrote:Note to self: never pick the MEAC in the playoffs unless they're up against someone as bad as Idaho State.
