I know many here don't like Rush Limbaugh but that poll result, to me, kind of validated something I've heard him say. He talks about how we have people in this country who see some politician, like Obama, posturing and get all fawning while saying, "OOOOoooo, he CARES" then that becomes all that matters. He's doing a crappy job. He's taking the country in the wrong direction and accelerating it towards the ash heap of history in the process. But "he CARES." So they vote for him.

And now I know it really does happen. I was actually able to find a variation of his shtick on the phenomenon from way back when he did a little bit of TV:

Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

All empires rise and fall John, we'll do the same.

I thought it was rather interesting that Howard Dean said on television that the only way Romney would win Ohio would be voter fraud...

No. Though voter fraud is a constant background that on balance works in favor of the Democratic Party; which is why Democrats are opposed to any serious effort to curtail it, I don't think it changed the bottom line outcome in this case. I don't think it was close enough in all of the key states for that to happen. Close, but not close enough.

Don't be a sore loser John. It isn't the Democrats fault that people would rather vote for a muslin than a republican. :coffee:

They did vote for a republican. Pro-war, anti-pot, anti-gay (originally), pro-crony capitalism, anti-civil liberties, etc. The last Democrat in the White House was Carter.
