Yes, & both of those Lehigh teams were better than this one.
If you say so, the 2010 team was 9-2.

But their two losses were to ACTUAL competition, UNH and Nova.

So you think it's better to lose to a good team than get a win?

Of course not. My point was that the teams they lost to in 2010 and 2011 were GOOD teams, and they rolled everyone else. This year they're squeaking by everyone, and just lost to an average team. They will get steamrolled in the opening round of the playoffs.

Exactly. That is why those on the west coast bitch about the patsy first round teams the south and east get. :tothehand:
Did you read the thread? How about just my posts? Lets try his again:

Lehigh has won playoff games at UNI and Towson the last two years. That's a CAA team and an MVFC team.

West Coast Ignorance. :ohno:

:kisswink:
This was the last great UNI team.

And... This UNI team would have pounded Lehigh. Can you imagine what a real team would have done?

You just keep defending your first round patsies like the SWAC defends their "bowl" game.

Because "underrating the Patriot" is an oxymoron.

Really? You might want to look at the playoff history of the Patriot League. They have done pretty well.

If you don't think a 10-1 Patriot team belongs in the playoffs you don't know FCS football.

I think it depends entirely on how the wins played out. Squeakers against Holy Cross, Princeton, Fordham, Georgetown? Yeah, no... Lehigh isn't a playoff caliber team this year.

And how do you know just how good Holy Cross, Princeton, Fordham and Georgetown are? The Ivy and the Partiot play against each other a lot. The only way to judge just how good they are is in the playoffs.

Considering how well you did predicting the Stony Brook - Liberty game, you might want to avoid prognosticating east coast football for a while.

You can keep thinking those teams are good, but they're not.

Except that 99% of everyone also had SB winning comfortably in that one. You're gonna fucking tell me that you saw Liberty winning that one? Please. :coffee:

And how do you know? They play each other every year, and the last two years Lehigh has won a road playoff game. And now this year you've decided that they aren't that good. Based on what?

Are you reading nothing I write? I know that Lehigh isn't any good this year because they're eking out wins. I mean, a ONE point win over HOLY CROSS!?! FFS! When Lehigh was a good team (not great, but good) the last two years, they were blowing out those teams... they're not this year.

Lehigh beat Holy Cross by 7 last year, that's a blow out if were talking soccer, but not football.

How much have you watched Lehigh this year?

Who knows how good Lehigh is..they haven't played a game that could tell us how good they are this year. Typically at some point in the season a team plays another ranked team and that game can be used to tell us these things, unfortunately Lehigh won't play such a game this year.

All I know is that they lost to a mediocre team today that couldn't even beat the worst MVFC school.

Until the playoffs. (Assuming that they beat Lafayette, which is no gimme).

That might not even happen depending on who they play in round 1.

I'm Lafayette's biggest fan right now. I want to see Indiana State make the field, not some horribly overrated Lehigh squad getting in because they have 10 wins against a terrible schedule.

I know SE doesn't have any cred after ALSO busting out the "steamroll" prediction for SBU-LU, but I actually agree with him in this case. A 10-1 Lehigh team PROBABLY gets in, but will lose in the first round. I'm not so sure that "steamroll" would be a correct adjective, but they will likely lose. A 9-2 Lehigh team, despite my high rankings all year long, along with the screw-up Albany recently put in (the NEC is another likely one-bid conference) give a certain potential 7-4 team some hope.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Well that seals it. Not only does a 10-1 Lehigh team get in. But they win in the first round. SH has spoken.

Yes, because what the playoffs needs is more 3 loss teams. It's better to lose three times than to go 10-1 against a "terrible schedule".

Tell that to CP. They were once a zero-loss snub....

I watched the Lehigh Colgate game yesterday, but couldn't tell you how good they were. Funny you ask that question, for I was thinking, "how much football knowledge does one have to have in order to tell if a team is good or not"?

HC wasn't 1-10 or 2-9 last year either. The vast majority of Lehigh's conf games last year were blowouts. Not the case this year.

The real question is, why are you defending Lehigh so much? Relative that goes there? :|
