SUU loses to Weber State 24-22 and with it our playoff hopes. Congrats to the Cats for upsetting the T-Birds at home. Poor offensive play on our side of the ball doomed us and a late rally couldnt save us, this should hopefully make this rivalry game get even more intense as the series goes on

EWU up 3-0 early.

The Eags opened in the air, shredding the Sac Air Traffic Control. But in the red zone, EWU could not punch it in, with the QB getting stuffed on a QB draw up the middle. Wind is making FGs a doubtful proposition.

The Sac offense has apparently, shown up, too. So far, this has the look of a shootout, with the last team with the ball winning. We'll see if that holds.

Sac 7-3. While Safron has been fairly effective through the air, the bulk of this drive was Ezekial Graham on the ground. He's been running wild on the EWU defense...IF he can get past the DL, which has not always been the case. The TD was impressive. After getting stuffed in the backfield, Coleman bounced it outside before being tackled with his torso (and the ball) over the goalline. The drive was started in OUTSTANDING field position because Eastern's kicker put the kickoff out of bounds.

EWU continues this track meet, going up 10-7 on an INCREDIBLE play by freshperson quarterback Vernon Adams, who avoided the sack at least THREE times on a third and goal from the 10 (including a dubious facemask penalty; at least, I'm not convinced) to find Greg Herd in the end zone for the TD. Regardless of whether or not there was a Hornet facemask, this play was ALL Adams. Great job!
