Fact: Sanford police requested a warrant for homicide/negligent manslaugher.

It probably should and will go to trial. However, I was thinking about this... if you hit and kill a pedestrian with your car, you can be charged with vehicular manslaughter. However, not all drivers who kill a pedestrian are charged or go to trial. This is obviously a little differnt in magnatude, but not really different in law theory, is it?

And now this innocent elderly couple have had to flee their home because spike Lee incited people to terrorize them. :ohno: Lee tweeted to the whole world that George Zimmerman lived at their address, when it was the wrong George Zimmerman! Only an idiot like Spike Lee would post an address without double checking that it was the right address.

Media bias. All we saw for the 1st several days, 05' mug shot of Zimmerman and pic of Martin when he was 12-14:

Instead of choosing to go with more current pics, Zimmerman from his job as a forensic loan review analyst (basically an underwriter) from his job at the Maitland office of Digital Risk, LLC, a mortgage risk-management firm, and Martin at 17:

Paramedics probably cleaned him up, but you get a pretty good view of his entire head and face in the video and he appears to have escaped the head smashing relatively unscathed.
Sanford police Sgt. David Morgenstern on Wednesday confirmed that the video being shown by ABC News is of Zimmerman. The 28-year-old's head and face are visible throughout and he is dressed in a red and black fleece jacket. Police are shown frisking Zimmerman whose hands were handcuffed behind his back. They then lead him into a police station.

"This certainly doesn't look like a man who police said had his nose broken and his head repeatedly smashed into the sidewalk," Ben Crump, an attorney for Martin's family, said in a statement. "George Zimmerman has no apparent injuries in this video, which dramatically contradicts his version of the events of February 26."
The Orlando Sentinel, citing anonymous sources, has reported that Martin grabbed Zimmerman's head and banged it several times against the sidewalk. A statement from Sanford police said the newspaper's story was "consistent" with evidence turned over to prosecutors.

Sonner said the gash on the back of Zimmerman's head probably was serious enough for stitches, but he waited too long for treatment so the wound was already healing. Miguel Meza, who identified himself as Zimmerman's cousin, said Zimmerman was in "the fight of his life."

Zimmerman said that on Feb. 26, he was pursuing the 17-year-old Martin, who was not armed, because the teen was acting suspiciously. He said he lost sight of the black teenager and Martin attacked him as he headed back to his sport utility vehicle.
Do you think Zimmerman said "I lost sight of the black teenager"? :|

I wasn't questioning you, but it's pretty clear that there is bias on all sides on this one in the media. When you start a sentence with "He said" even if you don't use quotes, you shouldn't be adding things to what "he said".

More of an editorial choice. describing the other person instead of repeating "Martin" over and over again. I highly doubt Zimmerman even knew what Trayvon's name really was. So I doubt that he said anything to that effect,

MSNBC's Jansing Spins Spike Lee Tweet That Put Elderly Couple In Jeopardy As 'Twitter Error'

A few days ago, left-wing director Spike Lee, who has 248,000+ followers on Twitter, retweeted an item bearing what was supposed to be the address of George Zimmerman, the man who claims to have shot Miami teen Trayvon Martin in self defense a month ago in Sanford, Florida.

But the address was incorrect and the occupants of the residence are an elderly couple who bear no relation to Zimmerman. As a result of Lee's retweet, they've received hate mail and, fearing for their safety, have fled their home. Yet when it came her turn to report the development today, MSNBC's...

The Daily Caller has identified a second Twitter handle that was used by the late Trayvon Martin during the last weeks of 2011. Tweeting in December under the name “T33ZY TAUGHT M3,” Martin sent a message that read, “Plzz shoot da #mf dat lied 2 u!”

Just calling a spade a spade Cluck. I'm not refusing to acknowledge the point. I am perfectly aware of media bias. This has become a ratings bonanza for them. Just the same as to if Sanford police had arrestes Zimmermam and have him charged the story would have been in the other direction. Different photos and all.

For me, and in my point of view, its not the fact THAT Trayvon Marton was killed. It was the fact that he was TARGETED by Zimmeeman basically because he was a black man walking through HIS neighborhood wearing a hoodie...and from that point Zimmerman decided he was a criminal. So he comfronts him while armed in a vigilante style of protecting HIS neighborhood. Still a pointless killing that never would have happened if Zimmerman didn't pursue Martin.

He was targeted because of color of his skin and the clothes he wore.

I don't disagree with some of your post, except for the bolded part. We don't know what Zimmerman thought.
-Decided he was a criminal? (as in the definitive).
-Decided he MIGHT be a criminal? (as in I'm not sure).

We don't know how he confronted him. We don't know if Zimmerman confronted Trayvon or Trayvon confronted Zimmerman. Zimmerman's father:

"Even though a dispatcher told Zimmerman not to follow Martin, his father says he continued walking to locate an address to give to police.

"He lost sight of the individual, he continued to walk down the same sidewalk to the next street so he could get an address for the police. He went to the next street, realized where he was, and was walking to his vehicle," Zimmerman said.

That's when Robert Zimmerman says Trayvon Martin walked up to George Zimmerman.

"It's my understanding at that point Trayvon Martin walked up to him, asked him, 'do you have a f---in problem?' George said 'no, I don't have a problem,' and started to reach for his cell phone. At that point, he was punched in the nose, his nose was broken, and he was knocked to the concrete," Robert Zimmerman said....."

And if you're not familiar with Rush's past, this from wiki:

"After dropping out of high school, Rush joined the U.S. Army in 1963 but went AWOL and received an honorable discharge in 1968.[2] Throughout the 1960s Rush was involved in the civil-rights movement. He worked in civil-disobedience campaigns in the South, and co-founded the Illinois chapter of the Black Panthers in 1968 and was made its "defense minister". His son, Huey, was named after Panther leader Huey Newton. "We were reacting to police brutality, to the historical relationship between African-Americans and recalcitrant racist whites," Rush later told People magazine. "We needed to arm ourselves." Rush was present when fellow Black Panther Fred Hampton was killed in a police raid and later made an official statement that the police, referred only to as "pigs" by Rush, had murdered Hampton. Rush's own apartment was raided in December 1969 where police discovered an unregistered pistol, rifle, shotgun and pistol ammunition, training manuals on explosives and booby traps, a small amount of marijuana and an assortment of communist literature.[3] Earlier that same year Rush stated the philosophy his membership in the Black Panthers saying, "Black people have been on the defensive for all these years. The trend now is not to wait to be attacked. We advocate offensive violence against the power structure."[4]
Imprisoned for six months in 1972 on a weapons charge after carrying a gun into a police station, Rush nonetheless worked on several non-violent projects that built support for the Black Panthers in African American communities.

The link I posted above only contains under 6 minutes of the interview with Zimmerman's father. This one contains the full 19 min. I've listened to the whole thing. Yeah, I know that its the father who is going to want to protect his son, so I took that in to consideration listening to it. Very interesting.
