They're just bracing UD for a 3 seed. As we said earlier 2/3 really doesn't matter. I think I'd rather have UD as a 3 to keep their feet on the ground a little more.

Old Dominion vs. Delaware in Round 2 of CAA Tourney to start in 20 minutes.

UD won by 13 in only meeting this year in Newark.

AP #7 Delaware trounces UNCW 66-39 in the semifinals of the CAA tournament. Lead was 42-13 at halftime.

Looks like we tried to call off the dogs. EDD only played 18 minutes.

Delaware gets a #3 seed in the Des Moines region. Will take on Arkansas Little Rock in Little Rock (so much for home court advantage

) at 5:20 Sunday on The Deuce. Winner plays winner of Nebraska-Kansas.

FWIW, we're in the same bracket as Baylor (ugh) and the #2 seed is Tennessee.

So I broke out my crystal ball and see Delaware beating Ark-LR, Nebraska, Tennessee, Baylor, Stanford, and UConn.

This will be fun - 1st round game is winnable, which would be an immediate boost to the program. Nebraska in round 2 would be a good matchup - if they could beat PSU (yeah yeah yeah - missing 2 starters - whatever) then they can beat Nebraska. Tennessee in the 3rd round would be a terrific test against one of the legends of basketball. Make it that far and Hen fans would be thrilled, especially since nobody will get within 10 points of Baylor...

Eh, more fun this way. If you're going to lose, getting to beat Tennessee and then lose to Baylor is a great way to go out. I'd rather play the big names than miss the limelight playing teams no one cares about. I like the draw.

UD pummeled Arkansas-Little Rock on their home floor last night, EDD only played 30 minutes & dropped 39, just losing to UALR's whole team by 3 (42-39). Unbelieveably, UALR tried to play EDD straight up for the most part - yea, that worked well.

Kansas is next up in the Round of 32 who beat Nebraska last night. KU played well earlier in the year but lost their star player to injury.

Three wins would be a great accomplishment in this tournament. We're not beating Baylor in the fourth game.

Two wins would be underwhelming.

Truedat, truedat. First game I watched from start to finish last night - ugh. UD can't spell zone, much less play it.

EDD is a monster talent no doubt about it - more than worth the price of admission - supporting cast let down last night on both ends of the court.

Onto football season!!
