Montana travels to Sam Houston State. What a rare opportunity for a school: beating both Montana Universities in the same year in the FCS playoffs. Both Montana schools had to travel. Neither was good enough to claim a home-field advantage.

Montana isnt where they are because they are good, they are good enough to get where they are because of the easy path. What big wins do they have that others dont? Where is the measure of success? What is the advantage?

Can't really imagine an easier path than the fifth-place CAA team and an overrated non-scholarship school, can you?

The BISON game was the last real game UNI played. The BISON knocked the stuffing out of the Panthers, ended the UNI era and begain the NDSU BISON MVFC Era. The Montana win had none of that. Baring an incredible and certainly bizarre set of circumstances the Panthers shouldnt even have been at Montana. There were much better teams from the MVFC sitting at home. Certainly the score of the game is evidence I speak the truth.

Oh I understand the scale you are talking about, and in relation to the other 3 teams left in the playoffs, the Griz could very well be the worst, and the Bison could very well be the best. It's all really conjecture at this point. You can pull out all the stats you want, you can say look at the record, look at who we beat - they're better than who you beat. But if that's all that really mattered, there would be no reason to play the game.

In the eyes of people on here, according to the "Rank the final four" thread, they have NDSU as the 4th best team.

The division will never be about the NDSU Bison, unless of course every single FCS team besides the Bison moves up or down. Then it will be about the Bison - that way you know they'd be the best team, and hell you'd get what you want, they wouldn't even have to play a game to get the championship trophy.
