He quoted a song from the Pokemon movie in his speech today.

http://kotaku.com/5864783/herman-cain-q ... s-campaign

FWIW, he hasn't pulled out. He's "suspended" his campaign. Unfortunately for Cain, no candidate who suspended his campaign has ever "unsuspended" it and won. The closest was John McCain (and that was just to take care of business in DC).

This is typical of the left. Paint a conservative as a wacko, and when that doesn't work, bust out some false rumors, especially rumors of the variety that fall under the "guilty until proven innocent" category.

wow - i don't know if you are off your meds... or on someone elses or what...

lemme tell you something as a member of "the left" - WE? We would have LOVED a Cain/Obama matchup... Pay attention - for like... just a minute... and see who "the left" are actually attacking. There have been two. Perry, and Romney, because they are the ones that scared the left (well, and if you conks ever woke up and realized how good Huntsman would be against BHO).

The hit on Cain came from Perry. Perry's staffers, several of them, worked for Cain on his previous campaign for the Senate. They HAD HIS RESEARCH FILE. The one that every good campaign has on their own candidate - they just used that research and info.

First rule of politics: Why let FACTS get in the way of a juicy accusation?

GOP at its finest, they thought it was a cute story at first, and a way for them to draw some of the black vote back to their party. But once Cain's popularity grew to the point where he was becoming a legitimate threat to their "established" candidates which his common sense approach to the political system, they had to tear him down quickly, falling back to the "good ol' house negro who can't control his sexual urges just like the rest of them."

This is why I hate politics...the American sheeple will always believe whatever the media tells them no questions asked. "Didn't believe the first allegation, oh look here's someone else. Not her? How about this one who says she was sexually assaulted? No??? And his wife is standing by her??? Hang on...well come up with an even BETTER story and parade out another white woman to make allegations of a 13-year extramarital affair." What's the rule now? Denials means that you are hiding something? When you deny, you lie? Smh...well so much for an interesting election season. :ohno:

This is actually dumber than what SH posted... and... well... think about what that means for a second...

When there is that much smoke... there is fire. I repeat what I said above... this info (the harassment suit) was known to former Cain staffers who ended up working for Perry. THAT story was legit - and was enough to end his campaign, which it did. Everything that came out after that was just piling on... he was finished when he couldn't refute it.

Yeah, the left really sucks. First it was Gary Hart, then it was Bill Clinton and then it was John Edwards, now they target Herman Cain. :ohno:

What? Its dumber to believe that this information was held on to by Perry"s staffers to be used as a secret weapon against Cain only when he became a legit threat and Perry's campaign imploded on itself?

It's dumber to think that tactics don't play a role in what information is released to the public and how it is released?

no - it's dumber to think they just made it up - the only thing lamer than blaming his collapse on "the media" is blaming it on a "conspiracy"

let me tell you straight up - the only person to blame for Herman Cain's collapse - is Herman Cain. Simple rule - don't fuck around on your wife... even simpler rule, don't sexually harass... it's not difficult.

As for holding that info until such time that it did real damage? Of course. When Cain was a gadfly, such a story hardly mattered... he was a fringe candidate and nobody cared. As he climbed in the polls he came under closer scrutiny, and people started coming forward with what they knew... it happens all the time, and not just in politics.

Well the fork is already in Cain.

Now the question is, who will his supporters throw in behind? My guess is they will split pretty evenly between Romney and Gingrich. I still think Romney is getting the nomination.

It was refreshing to see a real self-made business leader get some time, but once again when you get an alpha male there is gonna be some tail chasing in his past.

Face it, the outcome of next years election is already in the bag for Obama. This stuff is just for entertainment purposes.

Totally pathetic offering by the GOP, maybe the worst ever and damn, that IS saying something.

I agree that Paul is part of the clown show, if that's the point you were trying to make. I guess we're stuck with the 24-7, media-generated, party-out-of-power debate circus for every election cycle into the future. Gawd, how I long for the days of the smoke-filled room. Seems like you usually got better candidates that way. So much for the benefits of "transparency."

I don't understand what's wrong with Ron Paul. I don't agree with everything he says, but he's consistent and can debate and argue his views better than President Obama or anyone the GOP's produced so far.

he is fringe. He is a bit of an extremist which I think is needed. He's old. He has his money. He can retire tomorrow And never worry. I think he is the only person that has the balls to execute the tough reforms. I like his brand.
