All are correct, but I voted for the Feds because they determine the macro environment for job creation, i.e. tariffs, protectionism, nationalism, etc. that in turn allow the states/localities then private enterprise to be competitive.

The government does not and cannot "create" jobs. Jobs are created only through the exchange of services. The government can only gain income through taxes, which is essentially theft.

Looks like the Obama administration wants to set about creating jobs via government infrastructure investment, while the Teabaggers want to eliminate jobs through government spending cuts, and then use the high unemployment statistics to beat Obama over the head with leading up to next year's election.

How are the Teabaggers proposing to create jobs?

Infrastructure investment is spending money.

We dont have money

We are in debt

When we get the debt managed and are in the black then save some money to afford to invest in infrastructure.

Infrastructure jobs are temporary anyway and for the most part are not needed at this time.

Uh no, but I did go on an epic trail ride up the Morrison Jeep Trail, and there was no Holiday Inn Express, but if there was I would not have stayed there.

Now, what part of that statement you are mocking is untrue?

So if the biggest problem is creating jobs, what is the Teabagger job creation plan that will override the loss of jobs in the Government sector?

Z, would be nice to actually get an answer instead of some political hackery as per usual.

I don't know, I'm not a teabagger. And that's fucking hilarious, coming from a guy on this board who's NEVER given an actual answer and lives off of just prodding the ant pile and watching the reaction.

I dont care about job creation right now I care about getting Congress to quit stealing money from us that we dont have.

If you get the government out of all of this it will almost fix itself. The left knows this and that is why they are wanting government involvement....they like you right where they have you.

Looks like it's nothing but jobs, jobs, jobs no matter what channel you get your propaganda from. Only time there is a lot of rant about spending, its a Teabagger.

Are the Teabaggers going to win the election? And if so, and if they manage to cut out government spending, will they then be concerned about the jobless rate??

Just askin'

How are the Teabaggers proposing to create jobs?
That is an easy one Wedgie:

a) comprehensive tax reform will turn the USA into the biggest corporate tax haven in the world and return much of the investment capital and jobs that have been shipped overseas.

b) streamlining and reducing compliance and excessive regulation will lower unit production and marketing costs, free up capital and income, which will increase money in the economy used for R&D, Capital investment, and disgressionary spending by individuals.

c) getting rid of Obamacare will lower costs, eliminate uncertainty in the business community which will spur investment, product creation, business expansion, and new business.

d) enacting "right to work' laws and not blocking companies like Boeing who seek to build and employ people in right to work states. That would bring who knows how many jobs back home.

e) repeal Dodd/Frank and Gramm/Leach/Bliley now which puts all financial institutions into one area of expertise and eliminates the unfair advantage monster megabanks and Wall Street has in financial dealings. We aren't all playing under the same rules.

I could go on but you get the gist and I have other stuff to do...

W/o getting into a bunch of boring research and detail, disincentify the foreign investment, shipping jobs out of the country, and parking capital offshore.

A lot of business behavior is to lower or avoid taxes, as GE so skillfully did; but much of that behavior, while good for avoiding taxation, hurts the country in general and is counterintuitive to our overall well being. By eliminating corporate income taxes altogether and enacting the fairtax the behavior described above that hurts our overall welfare in the interest of tax savings is unnecessary and therefore eliminated.
