All of my calculations are now showing that to be the most probable outcome. Thats why the change in the homefield scoring.

I have to say, (begin rant):
I laugh every time I see the title of this thread. The all caps and the asterisk just scream "loser".
JBB - I'm not saying that you are a loser, but that is the internet image that you send out (at least to me) with the undignified all caps and asterisk.
It's not like your team has done anything noteworthy at the FCS level to have earned any distinction. Note that fans of schools that have (Georgia Southern, ASU and maybe Montana) haven't resorted to such childish displays. Why don't you let your team do the talking on the field and drop the caps and asterisk.
Besides, when sports are involved, asterisks aren't usually a good thing.
(end rant)
Sorry, I had to say it.

Hopefully NDSU can pull this game out by the 4th quarter. Should be close, and with a few mistakes, NDSU could lose this one.

Re: Lafayette Leopards @ NDSU BISON*
Ticket sales are now approaching 17,500. thats considerably better than some prognosticators have been forecasting. I thought the low guess was around 15,000. Except for last year the opener has traditionally seen 18,000 +.
This is starting to look a lot like a sell-out. Last season we had just over 17,000 for the opener. Sales are past that now. The forecast will welcome the tailgaters and it should be a great afternoon outside one of the nations legendary football venues. When the crowds start filing in and the focus turns to the field of play you can be sure some of the best football in the country in the perfect football confines of the Fabulous Fargo Dome will be underway!
Tonight we have to take a moment to reflect on where we are on the eve of the opening game:
1) The BISON are prepared. Some, many, are saying
3) National attention? Is the message ahead of the team?
This game has now entered the realm of the "Big Hype". The major themes:
1) NDSU BISON emerging as the nations best team
2) Crowd, rankings, tradition elevate the game to national scope
3) Sell-out almost a certainty.
4) Regional and national media begining to take notice.
SPOTLIGHT: BISON CITY

Is it yellow or Gold? I thought it was yellow "The Yellow and the Green". We talked about it today. My friend Nate thought Gold - The Gold Star Marching Band.

Re: Lafayette Leopards @ NDSU BISON*
Its game day at NDSU! The highways into Fargo will bring BISON fans from across the region. My sources tell me that some are already congregating around the stadium. The Fabulous Fargo Dome stands dark against the morning sky. There is very little activity. It was a quiet night. There are some trucks at the north end delivery docks. The coaches and the team have not arrived and will not arrive for several hours.
The game plan is set. The book was closed at about 10 PM last night. The final tweak will be revealed to the team this afternoon in the "game meeting". I understand they were pouring over the Robert Morris game and several old Augi games. There is no question the coaches have seen something in those games, some technique, some tactic, a strategy in either the offense or defense that will appear in todays game.
The Fargo Police are on the sceen and they will be setting up at all the entrances controlling the in and out traffic at the facility. There are several Rock Star type Motor homes running at the west entrance.
All-and-all it is quiet but there is electricity in the air. The drama is building. Confidence is high as the program prepares to take its first step in the quest. Its Game Day at NDSU!!!

The asterisk signifies todays projected winner in this contest. Its a convention developed over on http://www.D2football.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
Todays jerseys are gold.
Scream Yellow and Bison Water were two missguided promotions. I sat with the distributor of Bison Water during the Delta State game.
We have no word on the Pards. We do know they are in town. Their motorcade was seen leaving the airport yesterday.

Re: Lafayette Leopards @ NDSU BISON*
With the gold jerseys NDSU is breaking from the traditional green at home. Its always been green at home yellow on the road. This may be the first sign of that tradition changing. These jerseys will certainly help encourage fans to wear their yellow as well. Its going to really brighten up the Dome if its filled with yellow or gold.

The convention was developed about 10 years ago. It has been recognized by knowledable fans at every level since that time.
There are 641 tickets available for tonights game. You will be in sections 22, 23. 30, 31, 5 and 6 with a few endzone seats available. You will be near the top of the dome.
The game is now under Sell-Out Alert! Projected most probable crowd 18,089.

Do you think it is the piss-yellow jerseys or the paid loser opponent?

Re: Lafayette Leopards @ NDSU BISON*
Its shaping up to be one of the biggest FCS games in the country! The BISON will certainly be focused. Its one step at a time.
The controversy earlier this week surrounding the suspension of 3 Lafayette players isnt expected to impact the game too much. 2 players wouldnt have made the trip. the other, a sophmore running back, would have traveled and probably seen some action, but he was not the starter. the greatest problem could be depth. If there is an injury the suspension will deprive the Pards of a capable replacement.

Lots of action here, hard to focus. BISON in control. Pards are a strong well coached football team. UNI good for sure. 28-0 right now but dont let the score fool you. The Pards are a good football team and they are driving with about 5 mimutes left in the third.
O"Niel is every bit as good as advertised. Very good receivers too. They are a physical football team.
