I don't get the angst on this one - everyone already knew this guy was rich, and if he's spending his money then what's the big deal? If he didn't spend the money and instead buried it in some offshore account people would be ripping him. So he's being ripped now for actually spending the money and hiring a bunch of workers in the process? In fact, between him and McCain, McCain needed Congress to officially naturalize him in 2008 due to him being born in Panama Canal Zone. Naturalization is an ambigous topic. He's has provided multiple, legitimate certificates of live birth. There is not some high level conspiracy, which started at his birth and orchestrated by the Democratic Party, to elect a mulatoo to the presidency in 2008. I bet 'spanos would agree.

I'm not sure it was racist - let's be honest, if McCain had won the election there would've been a small but vocal group of Democrats who would still be railing on today about how McCain wasn't a naturalized citizen. Fringe groups like these are found in both parties in equal numbers and I think it has more to do with zealous partisanship than anything else. These people can't see past the D or the R.
