UM is the #1 program in the BSC. It is the most watched program in the BSC. It is the richest program in the BSC. It is also the premier ambassador for the BSC and games like the Cal Poly game will help all conference members.

At this point it appears this game is a guaranteed sellout. This is going to be the largest crowd the Mustangs will play for this season. It could have an affect on them and make the UM GRIZ Challenge even greater. I think the North End Zone Conglomerate will be on display for this game.

Here is the best game ever played at the Fabulous Prestigious Glorious® Washington Grizzly. It featured App State. UM and App State played a classic two games in the last decade. The GRIZ were ranked #1 in the country and App State was #5. It was a big game.

Obviously the game was a sellout by the UM Griz Cadre just like the MSU game last year as so many others.

As far as "The Game", I think The GRIZ are going to have too much scary speed on these guys. Its going to be lots of flats routes to Moutra and Sambrano, and inside slants to Middleton, opening up big draws to Canada and Nguyen. I hope we never let up unless we have too. Once their defense gives way its going to be 25 - 50 yds/play. Big gainers, score after score. A 42-9 type game.

The Mustangs win over the Griz in 2010 was obviously the biggest win in CP history. Thats a lock. But Its no lock that Cal Poly is going to be able to hang with the Griz in 2011.

Ask anyone from Sac State. Those Great West teams are good and loaded with scholarship players. The Sac State fans said CP was as good as a lot of the BSC teams in the region. Im not sure how they would judge that even today, they have only won 5 or 6 games each year but they took no shame in their losses. Montana shouldn't either if Cal Poly should win. So hold your head high.

Montana is not following the model of arrogant and shelfish scheduling of multiple FBS division team money games. Those exhibitions dont count and shouldnt be included in the won loss record. They dont help a school get into the playoffs. By promoting our own division, and not selfishly scheduling an exhibition game for the payout money, UM builds relationships with other peer institutions, gets media coverage and attention in new markets, improves their playoff chances by not throwing away a game and respects its conference by recognizing they cant afford to throw away a game because the BSC is too competitive for that.

Scheduling within the division not only favors the schools that do it, it keeps the money in the FCS and encourages intra-divisional play, not inter-divisional. As a result our division is enriched and positively promoted to a wider public.

The biggest surprise was of course improbable fumbles and coach Arbuckle. Without him UM is undefeated. With him they were undone by lesser teams who were playing up in their Super Bowl of games. There is no question about that. Its a big deal when you are given the win over the GRIZ. Its even bigger when you actually earn it. Ask some proud BSC fans. Dont ask Oregon State fans or Idaho fans though. Skip Stephen F Austin and App State fans too. I would also skip all Southland fans.

Of course, maintaining proper scheduling is a big part of being a football force in this once great country of ours. Maintaining relationships, maximizing playoff potential, respecting the divisions autonomy from other division games, respecting your league and promoting FCS ball and keeping the money in the division are big things with UM.

Exhibition games weaken the division and are in some cases deceiving. A team like ISU that has nearly half their schedule exhibition this season will certainly brag about their body bag payouts record over last season if they have cobbled together anything resembling a football team. They will never tell you about the 63-0 ass kickings. Thats why the games should not be included in the won/loss record of the FCS team. They dont mean anything and are simply used to fatten the coffers.

All of you could learn a lesson from UM and CP for that matter. These are schools advancing the game in the FCS and scheduling into the spirit of the division. Its a shame not all schools do that.

Not that it probably concerns too many of the superathletes around here, but BMI is on the outs for both training and insurance purposes- for men, anyway. Now, you use a BMI as a function of chest, thigh, and waist measurements. The BMI was highly discriminatory against people with a muscular build.

You are correct SUU was "a good get" and so was UC Davis and Cal Poly....UND may be a bit far east but they are a quality program despite all the hoopla.

Cal Poly has finished in the top 25 all but one year in the last 6. They have beaten FBS San Diego State 2x in that time and came a PAT away from upsetting a bowl bound Wisconsin team. Yes they do travel ...they have played one of the hardest schedules in FCS over the past few years. Does that make them mediocre?

No WAY. The MVFC is the most dominate conference in history, why would he be jealous of any other ones?

UNI is the most dominating team in history, 15 titles in 25 years, but the conference is probably 4th rate at best.

Should be a good game, but I'd pick Montana in a close one at home.

It's not only possible, it's reality. JaBBer can't stand that the flagship University of North Dakota got into the prestigious Big Sky Conference, and his alma mater, UND's little brother the NDSU prairie cows, weren't accepted, and had to settle of the MVFC. Another thing that grinds his gears, is that UND is 10-3 against the prairie cows in the last 13 years.

Scheduling an SEC charter member is important in establishing a presence in the South for both recruiting, and extending relationships to an area of the country that will have all eyes on the Montana GRIZ. Western Oregon is an important strategic decision by the UM conglomerate, allowing our team a respite before the playoffs and a rivalry game, as well as an charitable display in allowing a less fortunate team to experience a DI gameday at the prestigious Washington Grizzly.
