No it doesn't. Someone hurts your feelings or something, and all the sudden you don't give a shit?

Ideally, I'll see at least one game that includes each of my favorite FCS teams: Harvard, GSU, UD and W&M. Haven't scheduled anything yet, though.

I'm not sure we've ever met DJH, but it isn't anything like that.
#1- I'm not a UNI grad. Never went to UNI in general.
#2- As stated, I'd like to keep my options open. With family, friends, and being very active with UNI, it would be very easy to just come home after school is over. In general, we don't intend on staying in Iowa.
#3- I'm still a UNI fan. As you can see on my list I still plan on making some UNI games, just not all of them. I love college football and would like to see some other venues and teams while also checking out possible areas to live.
#4- I made a bet with someone with avatars and threw in my current school. No biggie. It will go back to UNI.

Getting away two weeks in a row, first to Missoula for the E. Washington game, the next weekend it's off to Chadron NE for a lowly RMAC conference game with The Addams Family of Adams St, as we will be travelling on family business.
That's all I plan to spend on weekends during hunting season going to football games.

Not sure yet which home guys I'll be able to attend, but right now EWU @ UW is a definite....also trying to make the game in Missoula.

So you are going to move away, so what? I don't see why you feel the need to distance yourself as a fan.pantherrob82 wrote:Sorry, I forgot theDJH wrote:No it doesn't. Someone hurts your feelings or something, and all the sudden you don't give a ****?.

All six home games, VaTech and Furman are pretty much for sure. Wofford and Elon are on the fence and El Citadel is probably a no.

We've talked about this a couple times in our hang out sessions (no homo), and I get your reasoning but...just because you didn't go to the school and won't live in the state doens't mean you can't still be a fan of the school/team. I don't plan on living in Iowa forever, moving out won't make me want to support the university less because others may not know of/like UNI.pantherrob82 wrote:Thanks for the life advice. I have never even been to the state of Michigan, yet I'm on the wait list for season tickets, I've donated to the Mott Foundation, and am a huge Michigan fan in general.
To be fair you didn't go to Montana, NIU, Toledo, or any of the other schools listed yet you are willing to travel all over the country to see them play.
I "get" your reasoning, it just don't understand it.
I work for a company based out of Fargo with a ton of UND/NDSU alum in higher positions. They don't have a problem wearing UND/NDSU gear on the job, my bosses don't have issues wearing Iowa (and they didn't go to Iowa), UNI, ISU, etc... around.

Not sure if I will make a Hornet game this year but I sure as hell want to. (I’ve been hemorrhaging money left and right and 2011 is only half over.
)
If SDSU keeps their shit together, I’d like to make it to a few games at the Q. Man the 2012 season will be a lot more exciting for SDSU football. With the new additions in the MWC, there will be a more regional feel to the conference. It should result in higher attendance numbers for the Aztecs.

Not dispensing advice, but the opener at Chapel Hill would be a good one for several reasons.Purple Reign wrote:CCSU at JAMES MADISON

Just heard on CNN that Southwest Airlines has a deal going on, through tomorrow, where you can book a flight for 80-100 dollars for anyplace within a 450 mile radius...from (dates of flight) now through Nov 16. Round Trip! Gotta do it immediately. They're not really advertising it.

Thanks bandl. Seems CNN got their info a bit skewed. Not surprising.bandl wrote:http://www.southwest.com/html/travel-ex ... So, it's between Aug 23-Nov 16 and ranges from 40-120 and doesn't seem to be round trip. Still a great deal.

Re: What games are you looking to attend this year?
Probably 5 homes games (usually miss one for whatever reason).
Gonna try going to:
ODU @ UD
ODU @ W&M
Also, thanks for the heads up about the Southwest thing. Saw that I could get from Norfolk to Newark via plane to Baltimore ($40) and then train to Newark ($23). Still, driving to UD from ODU would be way cheaper in my car (~$23 at current rates), but the lack of having to drive might be worth the extra costs.

The full schedule this year. Most looking forward to - my first trip to Newark.
