I don't think I've mentioned politics at all in this thread. :? :|

I guess I was being a political mouthpiece last Summer when everyone was predicting the stock market was about crash and a double dip recession was on the way... and I told everyone to relax... and that everything would be fine. I turned out to be right. :coffee: You can say I'm just parroting the party line. But, when I'm right... I'm right. :D

Col Hogan never paid up from his bet in that thread. But, I'd be happy for another bet against any of you pessimists. :coffee:

Nice qualifier. Keep your head buried in the sand.....Obama needs about 50,000,000 just like you to ensure he gets reelected.

If there was any doubt as to whether she was savvy enough, tough enough or smart enough to carry the mantle of Vice President, she put those fears to rest tonight. From the article:

The unemployment rate rose to 9 percent in April from 8.8 percent in March.

Is that great news for the country, too ? :ohno:

So the 8.8% unemployment rate that the administration was bragging about (as in we're headed in the right direction) was just spin? What a shock. :yikes:

Didn't McDonald's just add 60,000 of those new jobs based on over a million applicants? Woo-hoo...we're headed in the right direction! :lol:

Funny how the Dems accused Bush of building the economy on minimum wage jobs... those "worthless burger flipper jobs”

Now people are fighting for those under a Dem president. Well done.

I'm going to guess that the price for McDonalds' health care waiver was to provide jobs for 60K Obama voters.

Change you can believe in.

McDonald’s Hires 62,000 in U.S. Event, 24% More Than Planned
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-04-2 ... anned.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

McDonald's Corp. plans to hold its first national hiring day April 19 to fill 50,000 openings at its restaurants nationwide.http://www2.godanriver.com/business/201 ... ar-948741/

62,000 new jobs added...and the Dems are celebrating.

Now for the fine print...in one of the articles before the job fairs, Mcdonald's said most of those 50,000 jobs were temporary, seasonal jobs. :dunce:

Again, only sectors that didn't add jobs were government and construction. Keep spinning. :coffee:
