It's only the first of 3 parts.
I'm certainly looking forward to it since it was one of the best books I ever read.

A reaction to 50's Era Communist McCarthyism hysteria
Where "the government" is controlling minds and business
Who could have guessed that corporations that were so much "in danger" now almost completely control our government through The private Fed / wall street / lobby and influence...

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.

AZ's sig, if I understand it right, says it all. It's a warning, not an instruction manuel. AS is good as a dystopic novel on par with 1984 but is overlooked because it's associated with a cult of narcissistic weirdos who treat the book like some kind of Bible.

your take on the book is very accurate - pathological fear of communism.

The book wasn't so much about Communism itself, but a warning against the perversions of "Progressivism" in general. Looking now, her clairvoyance is rather scary.
