I'll say the same thing here that I did on AGS, it's awfully top-heavy. But that's why they play the actual games.

Re: 2010 PRE-SEASON ALL CAA FOOTBALL SQUADS
Why would you say 'top heavy'? Is it because just a little over half of the members are from either Villanova or Richmond. Or is it because 5 out of 6 pictured (excluding thread author's son) Villanova athletes have greasy, dirty, wet looking, mop tops.bluehenbillk wrote:I'll say the same thing here that I did on AGS, it's awfully top-heavy. It was at least thoughtful that they'd let the rest of the schools participate though. Thanks to Coach Talley and whomever the new guy is at UR for throwing the rest of the dogs a bone.

UR will be lucky to finish in the top half of the CAA this year - book it.

I think I've seen it asked before, but I'm wondering if the 'Tap the Rock' phrase on the reigning champs' rings is a reference to one of Talley's gallstones.

I just looked quickly on CAAsports.com but have they come out with the preseason rankings yet? Just kind of curious who the coaches think the best team will be this year...

Re: 2010 PRE-SEASON ALL CAA FOOTBALL SQUADS
I think this is kind of funny. Who knows what will happen when all is said and done but it's almost at the point of saying if you've transfered from a 1A to the FCS then you don't qualify for preseason awards and the WP...at least not until the season ends and then it's only for conference standings at not at a national level. Just from a homer stand point both Andy Hall and Joe Flacco were the best offensive players in the FCSduring their final years and neither won...Andy came in 3rd (respectable) and Joe came in 18th...18th...History will prove that though Pat will deserve not only first team CAA and All-American, but also the WP award...and he won't win...He'll get drafted the highest and actually play in the NFL...but at the FCS level, he won't measure...the same wat Flacco didn't measure up to Foster. In his first year with no OL, no running game, his best offensive weapon being lost 1st game of the season, and his next best getting stabbed and suspended before the season started he still lead the CAA in passing average per game and total offense...what more does he have to do...well good news...it's coming

"Elaine, you're from Baltimore, right?"
"Yes, well, Towson actually."

Re: 2010 PRE-SEASON ALL CAA FOOTBALL SQUADS
Pre season AA and All Conference teams are just like pre season polls and conference predictions- pretty meaningless. Only one that matters is post season.
