hate to be filling these boards up with ODU related stories and be such a homer but this is a very interesting story developing in ODU's second year of football that not many start-up programs encounter in its early existance.

IMHO there's no Monarch QB controversy. DeMarco is still the #1 QB for this team. It's great that we have a backup in case DeMarco goes down during the season. I can also see Coach Wilder playing both QBs in different game situations.

I agree, but it does make you think though. I think Blackman and Demarco will only make each other better for the 2010 season and both of them are already great QB's. Also Wilder came right out and said yesterday that there's no QB controversary and that Demarco is the #1 QB and they have clearly a #1 and #2 QB. Here's an article on the virginian pilot's website...

Re: QB controversary at ODU?
Whatever happened to Tommy Reamon? Did he find another position on the team?
Re: QB controversary at ODU?
Reamon played at QB in the spring scrimmage too (I think for two series), but didn't have the red jersey on. Had a few nice passes, but I don't believe he got any touchdowns. I guess he's the third guy right now, but I'm not sure if he'll be playing another position.
Btw, I also think DeMarco was the better QB Sunday. Blackman was good too, but you can tell DeMarco saw the formations better which comes with experience. Blackman forced a few passes into tight spaces while DeMarco saw the open ones on a more consistent basis.
