I'll admit I haven't followed this contest, because it doesn't affect me that much. I can't vote in it, and I won't tell people in Mass. how to vote. With that said, is this candidate really tied to the "extremist Evangelical right?" If so, how in the hell is it possible to win in Mass? Sounds as if it's the Democrats who need to put up better candidates.dbackjon wrote:They have improved. ???? Really? I'd like to see how...ASUMountaineer wrote:
Yeah, things have improved greatly under Democratic leadership in Washington. How about, voting for the best person regardless of party? One day Jon...one day.
It can get a lot better, to be sure, but better than under the Bush nightmare.
If Republicans would offer enough candidates that weren't beholden to the extremist radical Evangelical right, then they would get some consideration. But until then, they are bastards in my book.
I just find it funny that someone who is so "open minded," you're once again showing an inability to look outside of yourself. It's all about what can be offered for your agenda. If that's how you choose to see life, go for it. But, you're going to be hating a lot of "bastards" for the rest of your life. I mean, let's be honest, you're not going to vote for any Republican.
BTW, there is just as many liberals beholden to the "extremist, radical, non-Evangelical left." It just so happens, you're ok with that. The country is polarized, and will continue to be so as long as people are continued to be elected based on party affiliation and voters not voting for what works, but for themselves.
