Smash mouth football is more about the o-line blowing up the d-line rather than the formation behind it.

Accept the fact that your team got whipped up on and get over it already. When Towson got destroyed by the Wildcats I admitted up to it. I said, "Best team I have seen all year." I didn't go on and on about how of the 282 yards rushing we gave up 82 of it was on one run.
...wait sec. You guys gave up a hundred more yards on the ground than TOWSON!?!
Andy, this is for you...
It is a FACT that Towson State would qualify for the playoffs next year for the first time EVER if they played in the Big Sky instead of the CAA. :thumb:
Might have to nominate this as POST OF THE WEEK...

If we were to join the Big Sky, all the rumblings about playing two FBS teams a year might HAVE to happen just to pay for travel costs.
"Elaine, you're from Baltimore, right?"
"Yes, well, Towson actually."

This pleases me.

For those interested, I will be hosting a seminar on the subject next week. Please let me know if you would like to attend and which days would NOT work for you. Thanks in advance.
I've recieved over 30 PM's from people who wish to attend the seminar, 'Hijacking for Dummies', hosted by me, CEO of BandlHijackingLLC.com. It will be held in the Sauna (if you don't have permission to view this forum, please pm Chris, Willie, Danefan or Wideright82) next Tuesday at 11AM EST. See you there. :coffee:

Did you actually read any of this thread or did you just decide to make a random, stupid post… possibly while high?

Where was I "bragging" about anything? Cluck U made an assertion that the Griz were gashed up the middle and I pointed out that simply wasn't true. This conversation had nothing to do with making excuses, bragging, or complaining about anything. Where did I say that getting run over outside is somehow better than getting run over inside? Cluck U was just in error where the facts were concerned & I corrected him.

As for the "smashmouth" thing: Villanova runs the spread option. Option offenses rely more on misdirection & agility than the typical smashmouth philosophy, which relies more on brute strength. Smashmouth

Oh, that's brilliant.

The Griz lost to Villanova by 2. How many points did Towson lose to Villanova by, again? Oh, that's right… 42. In fact, Towson got thumped by Villanova worse than any of Nova's other opponents except defunct Northeastern.

Wow you were way wrong. Many people have known for weeks that Hauck was going to UNLV but he wasn't going to tell anyone untill they hired a AD and the National Champioship game was over.

Note that I said IF Franchione wants the job. There was no way he was going to accept the pay offered which left Bobby as the only candidate, so you can shove FAIL right up your ass.

Hauck didn't get $700K+, he gets $350K + incentives.

Fail
According to Ed Graney of the Las Vegas Review Journal, Hauck was chosen over Franchione. Until you can find something that refutes that, you still fail. Facts are facts. Too bad.

Graney may know more than anyone about UNLV athletics than anybody...but that last sentence sounds like he doesn't approve of the choice...

Just a thought... 8-)
