Week 7 Game of the Week

a vote other than UNI/SIU is a joke

I guess it depends on what you mean by game of the week. As far as playoff implications, I think this one is far down the list. Both those teams are going (although I suppose there's an argument to be made about seeding). In terms of two best teams meeting up, you are right.

Good point. SIU and UNI may well play again, hell it could be a year where both teams break their road jinx if things fall right.

Re: Week 7 Game of the Week
I think EWU v Montana is the most important game, maybe the JMU/UMass games for the same playoff implications. EWU loses, they may be toast. Same with JMU (the final fork stuck in) and UMass.
UNI v SIU is the game of the week
UNI v SIU is the game of the week

Re: Week 7 Game of the Week
SIU @ UNI is the obvious game of the week - Top 5 battle, may determine auto-bid, etc.
Honorable mention goes to FAMU @ SC State - Winner almost certainly wins the MEAC. Loser should have a shot at an at-large, though.

LOL - I never worry about anyone hijacking my SLC slate thread cause, for most part, people on here could give a shit about us; let alone bother to look up the games and post them.
To me, the SFA/UCA game is the game of the week. It will clarify things a bit more for the SLC.

Re: Week 7 Game of the Week
I voted for EWU @ Montana, since EWU is essentially eliminated with a loss.
Second would be SFA @ UCA. Find out who's a pretender, who's a contender from the Southland.
Third is SIU/UNI. Both are going to the playoffs, so no big drama here.
JMU is ALREADY toast, so that game don't mean shit.

The SIU/uni game is big from the aspect of where they'll play when/if they meet in the playoffs.AZGrizFan wrote:I voted for EWU @ Montana, since EWU is essentially eliminated with a loss.

I'm more interested in the Central Arkansas vs SFA game. We already know that UNI and SIU are good, and both will probably make the playoffs, ho hum. I want to see how good SFA really is, or Central Arkansas to be fair.

I homered it. Naturally. Also I have a bet riding on a shitty JMU season.....sooooo... yeah Game of the Week for this guy.
As far as UNI/SIU go.... i think it is going to be a blow out one way or the other (my sneaking suspiscion is one of the teams is overrated). However, GOTW without a doubt. Conference implications and another 5 v. 2 matchup. Lucky for UNI it appears the second one is the one that gets ya.

Here's my thing with this game. SFA is in all reality, regardless of this games outcome, gonna take the SLC. UCA can't, period. This game is a moral game in my eyes and constitutes about the same interest from me as Georgetown's game this week (you know outside of the SLC playing football and GTown being the male cheerleaders for the PL)

BDK and I have a little bet as to the outcome of your season. I believe I took the under on a 6-5 season and he took the over.
IDK what happens @ 6-5 but I'm sure it involves ursus, a long skinny balloon, a bag of cake flour, a carp, and 3 shiny thumb tacks. After that, it's up to BDK.

I think that SUU vs Cal Poly should be on the list as i believe it pits the top two teams in the Great West this year in what im sure is going to be a great game
, but since its not even on the list i went with Montana vs Eastern Washington, there is no Ryan Bagely to save the Griz this year so it will be fun to watch

No, just a Marc Mariani, who has made even more miraculous catches in his career than Bagley's famous grab.SUUTbird wrote:I think that SUU vs Cal Poly should be on the list as i believe it pits the top two teams in the Great West this year in what im sure is going to be a great game, but since its not even on the list i went with Montana vs Eastern Washington, there is no Ryan Bagely to save the Griz this year so it will be fun to watch

To wit, this snag in the back of the end zone when he was a sophomore:

Not to mention the Sports Center #4 play of the day catch he made in the championship game last year.

None of you girls played the game, so you don't what your talkin bout. Trust me.
"Sarah Palin absolutely blew AWAY the audience tonight. If there was any doubt as to whether she was savvy enough, tough enough or smart enough to carry the mantle of Vice President, she put those fears to rest tonight. She took on Barack Obama DIRECTLY on every issue and exposed... She did it with warmth and humor, and came across as the every-person....it's becoming mroe and more clear that she was a genius pick for McCain."
