Head football coach Jack Crowe told The Star this morning that Perrilloux is suspended for one game for a violation of team rules. Sophomore Marques Ivory will start at Georgia Tech instead, and Perrilloux will return for the Sept. 12 game at Florida State.

They didn't meet the APR numbers (Academic Progress Rating i think). Something to do with Academics. The details aren't all that clear to me, but I know it has a lot to do with graduation rates of athletes.

The details aren't clear to me either but GSU has been dealing with some APR issues. It is a three year average of the kids signed on through graduation. Each kid that leaves/transfers out/ is kicked off is a hit. Each one that doesn't make grades is a hit. Being a rolling average it takes some time to overcome a hit. If the average goes down too much you start losing scollies.

If I remember correctly, JSU was already on a probationary period and couldn't get their numbers up to snuff. They had lost scholarships already and now they lost their playoff eligibility. That how i remember it at least.
