2. Kennesaw State (Preseason #6; 11-2 2021; lost in 2nd round)
3. SW Missouri State (Preseason #8; 8-4 2021; lost in 1st round)
4. E. TN State (Preseason #11; 11-2 2021; lost in quarters)
5. Sacramento State (Preseason #7; 9-3 2021; lost in 2nd round)

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
