I've been to Statesboro. I've been to Charleston. With all due respect, Statesboro is no Charleston (and I assume Conway, Arkansas isn't either).

It's a joke. Statesboro is a gnat infested swamp ( ;) ). I have no idea what Conway is like. Neither is the tourist attraction that is Charleston. It will make Fargo feel like Sombertown to the bizumbs and half of them won't leave.

Oh, I get it now, I thought we were talking football, it's because Charleston is a nice city, not because of Southern speed or Southern heat, that's why I mentioned Statesboro.

Nebraska Football Players Sue Big Ten Over Canceled Fall Season

Eight Nebraska Cornhuskers football players have joined together to file a lawsuit against the Big Ten, according to the Omaha World-Herald. The newspaper obtained a 13-page complaint states the cancellation of fall football should be “overturned because it didn’t follow established procedures in the decision-making process and was “unjustified” based on flawed and misapplied medical information.”

The Nebraska Cornhuskers Football Parents group announced the lawsuit and pleaded with Big Ten commissioner “to make this right & save our season, save 100’s of millions of dollars for our communities, save 100’s of scholarships for our kids, & save thousands of jobs.THIS IS OUR CHANCE TO LEAD! DO THE RIGHT THING.”

Court order says Big Ten must turn over documents

It has not been a good last few weeks for officials in the Big Ten Conference office. The league elected to cancel the fall football season on Aug. 11, presumably because of concerns related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Reaction to the Big Ten decision has been largely negative. Players, coaches and athletic departments within the conference have sharply criticized the Big Ten for not going ahead with a football season this fall.

An attorney representing the eight Nebraska football players suing the Big Ten provided an update on the case, which includes a court order requiring the conference to turn over documents related to its decision to postpone the football season.

Plus it doesn't look good for the Big 10 when rumors come out that they could start a football season around Thanksgiving or so. If you can play two months from now, why can't you play now?

How much would they pay the bizumb? $100K? I don't think it's going to be $300-500K with limited fans in the stadium.

If NDSU can get 10,000 to an indoor game, Nebraska could fit 45-50,000 or more into an outdoor stadium.

We are actually paying EKU to play us in Charleston.

It might be the first time ever we have paid a guarantee game for a team that isn’t in a lower division.

clempson, USF, and Army are all paying us.

I like our chances against USF and we might even have a shot at Army.

Going 2-2 in this little schedule would be a “winning” season for us.

Big 10 officially back in the game. Apparently the sight of Notre Dame playing at home with fans in the stands no less was too much for Big 10 country to bear. That and the monthlong saga of lawsuits and twitter snipes ever since they made the decision to pull the plug a month ago.

No fans. Don't know why they would announce that now after the about face they just took on playing. Why not say that they will start with no fans and that it will be re-evaluated for later games in another month? Although if I look at how Warren and the B10 handled this it's not surprising.
