Kennesaw blew out Monmouth 52-21, likely ending any hope of a Hawk at-large (even with a lot of other bubble teams going down).

I was wondering if South Dakota State was going to blow it with the running around WAY back to run the clock. It worked out but I was wondering what would happen if they didn't quite run enough time off and ended up punting to that South Dakota would practically be in field goal range after the punt. I guess they could've taken a safety but there are risks to that as well. But I mean they started near midfield and ended up taking a knee inside their own five on the last play.

Sac, NAU, and Montana fans (and probably others) are rooting hard for the Viks here.

Weber beat Idaho State 35-7
NAU getting blown out by SUU: 41-13, late-3Q — SUU will get the auto bid
Sac blowing out Davis: 45-14, early-3Q

COULD SAC STATE ACTUALLY MAKE THE PLAYOFFS!?!?!?!?

Agree 100%, but seriously Jensen, your arm is hurt and your first instinct is to throw when you have a wide open filed?

I thought he should have run, too, but it looked like Curran was open on the sideline.

Oh, well, maybe EWU will lose and open the at-large door back up. If only this year's team could time travel back a year, because they would have gotten into last season's field.

PSU just scored, but missed the PAT. 24-20 Eagles, late-2Q

I've been watching some of the replay waiting for the McNeese at Lamar game to start. Also looked at the stats. It was an evenly matched game but Monmouth muffed a punt then fumbled the ball away on their next possession. Stats say overall they had 5 turnovers and Kennesaw State didn't have any. Hard to stay in the game with a -5 turnover deficit.

Eastern gave up another hail mary to end the first half.

It was caught by DeSean Parsons, the former PSU basketball star.

McNeese State's starting running back got knocked out on the first offensive play of the game. Looks like a knee injury and he's gone for this season. They started the season with three good backs that bring different styles and now they've just got one left. The one they have left is the one they usually use in the second half when the defense is getting tired. The big guy. It's not working and they can't run the ball. Throwing the ball is tough because there's a very strong wind. Sustained at 16 and gusting to around 30. They're up 10-0 but are lucky to be there.

Lamar got two interceptions that they returned to inside the McNeese 5 and right about the McNeese 5. The first time they got called for a personal foul that backed them up then lost yardage and ended up having to punt. The second time they couldn't score and McNeese blocked the field goal. Lamar also did a flea flicker on their first play and the guy was wide open but he dropped the ball.

I hope McNeese can get through this one as it's one of those games where the team I'm pulling for is a big favorite but they are not dominating. I hate games like that.

The only good thing is that the Lamar coach got burned by that "call the time out right before the guy kicks a field goal thing." McNeese set up to try a 53 yard field goal before halftime. The guy missed the field goal but the Lamar coach had done the time out thing so he got another shot and made good. So McNeese got 3 points and some momentum because of that stupid practice of calling the time out just as the ball is about to be snapped thing.

Well...I guess the really "good thing" is that McNeese is up 10-0 as they could very easily be behind right now.

McNeese's quarterback is having an awful game. With McNeese at 3rd down inside the Lamar 10 he just missed a WIDE open receiver in the end zone for what should've been an easy TD and they had to settle for a field goal.

Oh please let McNeese get through this game with a win in spite of how horribly the quarterback is playing. I don't know what the heck is wrong with him. All year he's been a pretty good quarterback but he is just really, really off tonight. Not only in terms of accuracy. But in terms of having one receiver over there who is wide open and instead trying to go to a receiver that is covered. It's really bad.

Ugly win. VERY ugly. Now I don't know what to think. I was hoping for a blowout to impress the committee.

One positive is that McNeese finished the regular season without giving up at least 100 yards rushing to any opponent. Lamar got 12.

But OMGosh the offense was terrible. Since they lost their best running back on the first play tonight I hope that if they get selected for the playoffs the quarterback will play a WHOLE lot better than he did tonight.

I'd be surprised if McNeese was left out at this point.

If I had to bet I'd bet they get in because so much fell their way in terms of bubble teams losing today. But that was NOT an impressive effort. What I wanted to see is them have a big blowout of a team that came into the game at 2-8.

Also disappointed that they lost their best running back on the first play of the game. That guy was good. He was the kind of back that often made good or even great plays out of plays that should've been nothing. If they do get into the playoffs they're going to be going in without a really key player. I realize that happens to a lot of teams. Maybe most teams. But I still hate to see it.

Lots of bubble teams lost which I think adds us into the fray. 7-4 with our lone quality win being SUU's only loss. Let's hope the committee ignores the 17-48 combined record of our other opponents we beat.

Maybe we get the "hey these guys have never been" sympathy vote.
