The are still going on all over the country. Why does the south have the biggest spread?
Maybe because demographically, the ones who are the most vulnerable are the ones who are doing the most protesting in the South.

My sister just dragged me to Walmart and 20% of people weren't wearing masks, and I can't blame the workers getting paid sh*t for not challenging customers. It was packed too.

Anyways, I noped outta there quick and told her I'll gladly wait in the car.

Losing hope with this country.

Lot's of people of different races, genders and religions being fools at your neighborhood Walmart. It's a pretty good example of why no race is better than any other.

EDIT: The same reason why 25% of the cases in Maine are black while blacks only make up 2% of Maine's population.
Cases were high among blacks prior to the protest, and riots.

58% mask wearing in Spokane County according to the SRHD. Stories everywhere of family get togethers resulting in multiple hospitalizations/deaths. Social media pics of hugs and shoulder to shoulder selfies.

We so deserve what’s happened and what’s potentially coming down the pike.

I'd also like to not spread the virus, especially as I visit my parents every week. So yeah, anything that minimizes the risk to my dad and mom (and others) is fine with me.

Call it hiding or cowardly for all I care, but I'm not putting myself in a situation where it's crowded and a fifth of the people don't give a sh*t.

If we get it, it is what it is, but it won't be for a lack of effort.

Today's broadcast of Chris Wallace interviewing Trump had Trump claiming the United States has the lowest fatality rate. Wallace said no it doesn't. Trump called for his staff to give him something saying he was right. Someone gave him a piece of paper and he said it showed him correct.

No way. If you go to https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ and sort by "Deaths/1m pop" you will see that the USA has the 10th highest deaths per million population among 185 jurisdictions for which a deaths per million population is reported.

Also, you can copy the data, paste them into a spreadsheet, do a little math and find that the USA is 66th among 187 jurisdictions in terms of the quantity deaths/cases. That's not counting countries where no deaths are reported. Not as bad as being in the top 10 as is the case with the deaths per million population number. But in the top half. The 64th percentile (meaning 64% of jurisdictions have a lower rate).

The boldness with which this guy will bullshit is unbelievable. I mean, the statement that the United States has the lowest death rate is so obviously false and so easy to demonstrate as such that's its' startling that even Trump would be repeatedly making it.

I hear Cuba has universal healthcare

I’d put up a pic of people fleeing it in a boat but it might bring Clitz out of hiding

I'm supposed to visit Cuba in December (Holguin and Havana), but I'm pretty sure it's going to be cancelled at this rate.

Also had plans for Oktoberfest, but Oktoberfest was cancelled and obviously Americans can't travel to Germany right now.

I go to Wal Mart when it first opens. Around here that's 7 am. Hardly anybody in there. Lots of space. Get in and get out before the crowds come.

I haven’t set foot in a Walmart in 3 or 4 years. Why? It’s the same reason I wear a mask and socially distance. I love America.

Amazon is next. I can order fly fishing gear through them or Cabelas but I’m going to order from the Silver bow fly shop in Spokane instead. They tie their own flies and are locally owned. Plus they do frequent river clean up days and support things like public access and local conservation.

Pretty sure buying meat from local farmers doesn’t. It may not be much, but it’s a start. I’ll fully admit I’m not perfect in this regard, but trying to do better.

Maybe because demographically, the ones who are the most vulnerable are the ones who are doing the most protesting in the South.

EDIT: The same reason why 25% of the cases in Maine are black while blacks only make up 2% of Maine's population.
Cases were high among blacks prior to the protest, and riots.
I was going to post a WOOSH meme in response, but...

There are a lot of blacks who live in the South. Just so happens that is the demographic that is starting to explode right now, AND that is the demographic that makes up most of the protesters in the South. Just ask Keisha Lance-Bottoms.
