Emmett Till's murder is Southern history as well.

It's a damn good example of the shit that African Americans were subjected to for more than 100 years after emancipation. The reality that these things were allowed, facilitated and sometimes perpetrated by those in authority is part of the reason why some African Americans distrust the police. It's an emotional issue that can't just be dismissed by statistics.CitadelGrad wrote:That shit happened before I was born and before all of these black thugs were born. And this wasn't even close to the most violence Whites have done against Blacks over the years. I said it elsewhere, we just really gloss over the amazing acts of wanton murder and violence perpetuated on Blacks in the aftermath of the Civil War and the period of Reconstruction. I'll give it to the Lost Cause movement, until recently (and really not until tv cameras started showing scenes from the Civil Rights Movement in the '50's and '60's) it had been highly successful in rewriting history to perpetuate a horrible string of abject racism and hate.

And seriously, the killing in Georgia of that guy who stopped in a house under construction while jogging just happened a few months ago and isn't all that different from the Emmitt Till murder. White racists deciding they were going to show an African American who was in charge of things. They might be more discreet about it than they were in the pre-Civil Rights days, but the same base racism is manifesting itself today. At least acknowledge that and then we can get to talking about what to do about it.UNI88 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 11:13 pmIt's a damn good example of the shit that African Americans were subjected to for more than 100 years after emancipation. I don't even know the guy. It was a retweet. Regardless of his personal credibility, the incident in the video certainly doesn't appear to be staged.

That's because streets, outside of crosswalks, are for cars, and sidewalks are for people. Absent official road closures (which this obviously wasn't) when people are blocking streets & harrassing motorists, they deserve to be run over...while protestors were angered that some drivers continued on despite people occupying the roads.

Who knew whites were so "irrationally violent"?
2) It was never proven
3) Even if he did, that doesn't warrant his kidnapping, torture and murder of a 14 yr old boy
4) We are in America where it's supposed to be "Innocent til proven guilty"
5) You're an idiot
6) I'm not sure how you can excuse it. Which is what you did with your comment.

I'm not for censorship but it's probably time to shut this abomination of a thread. Nobody here denies the hypocrisy of BLM, that it's open season against whites, but I'm not sure turning this board into a collection of video's is best.
