I can’t bear to watch Trump on any subject.

Pence shouldn’t be allowed to run anything more complicated than a revival meeting.
Agreed. I liked when Trump was on "The Apprentice" and he would only show up for the last 3-4 minutes. That was more than enough, and even then it felt a minute or two longer than what was necessary.

And yes, I never understood the appeal of Pence outside of the evangelical angle. He couldn't be more obscure. What's with GOP Presidents picking odd ducks from Indiana as their VP's?
They're submissive.....just ask Mother! ;)

Closed my youngest's school this morning as it was just getting started. Aide with confirmed Covid19, and they turned wife away as she was dropping him off.

Not worried for any of my kids, especially that youngest, but this does prevent me from taking them to see Grandma. Grandma is still fighting lung cancer.

Nashville Tornadoes - 22

Update:

Nashville Tornadoes - 22
Corona Viruses - 9
7:16 left in 3rd Quarter

Viruses get a FG to close the gap to a 2- score game
Boom! Nashville gets a safety after a great punt by their punter, Twister McGee pins the Viruses on the 2 yard line.
And the Viruses return the favor, after the Nashville QB, who goes by the odd name of F5, is called for intentional grounding from the end zone...
Two safeties in a ROW! What a rarity! This game is one for the ages...

Nashville Tornadoes - 24
Corona Viruses - 11

Twister McGee is a force of nature on the field. But, it appears the Viruses got a talking to at halftime and they've taken it to heart. They're gaining momentum.

Carnival crisis grows after another Princess cruise ship goes on lockdown after a former passenger dies from coronavirus

Some passengers on Princess Cruises' Grand Princess ship were told Wednesday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to stay in their rooms before receiving coronavirus screenings, the company said in a statement.

The order came after a passenger on the Grand Princess' prior cruise died Wednesday of COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus.

A second former Grand Princess passenger has also contracted the coronavirus, according to a report from The Miami Herald. Both passengers were reportedly on the Grand Princess from February 11-February 21....

The guy actually asked if the flu vaccine would work for an entirely different virus.

We really do have a complete idiot in the President's position.
Yeah. Heaven fucking forbid Trump's not fluent in Virology.
Oh c'mon. If you were worried about AIDS would you feel safe after having the measles vaccine? Trump is a complete buffoon. You know damned well you wouldn't think a vaccine for one disease wouldn't work against another disease.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth

While not vaccines, are there not anti viral drugs that are effective at mitigating the effects of more than 1 type of virus?

Like I said before. He acts and talks like a CEO President.

He doesn't give a shit to know the methodology, it's his role to ask if it can be replicated anywhere to expedite delivery.

Honestly I don’t know. I know the malaria dugs have helped to mitigate some illnesses but it isn’t a cure. Im told I was given anti malaria’s in 1985 to help with GBS. It worked.

Some people in this area have started stockpiling supplies (including MRE's) due to the virus. I may be wrong, but this seems a bit excessive.

My Seattle peeps say that Costco and other large retailers are sold out of bottled water, purell, TP, etc. Restaurants in the Chinese ID are down 30-70%. havent seen that yet in Cheney but I’ve heard a few similar stories from Spokane. even online things like zinc lozenges are hard to find.

No!! Bastiges are supposed to be watching my little bastards, not sending them home (just kidding).
Now, I believe that the time has come for our district community to make an important shift. All schools in the Northshore School District will be closed beginning Thursday, March 5 for up to 14 days while we continue to monitor the situation and health department recommendations. Today and tomorrow we will communicate plans to transition instruction from classroom to cloud (online learning) beginning Monday, March 9. This decision was made thoughtfully and with the support of a variety of district and community leaders.
My wife has begrudgingly stayed home over the years, so this won't be an issue for us, but daycare for many others will be a problem.

I'm probably heading out there to buy a cheap laptop so both my kids can do their school work online. I'll report back how bare that Costco looks.
