You've never sat courtside at a basketball game, have you?

I would guarantee that courtside seats are as close or closer than the gallery.
That's ridiculous. You can't get any closer than about 25 feet to a player on the free-throw line. You can get much closer to a golfer on tee-boxes and roughs.

Golf is sometimes played IN the stands.

That's my point. Are you giving dback a 1/200 chance of even making contact? You gotta give him more credit than that.

My definition of pulling off the shot is putting it on the green from there.
That’s better but I’d take the over all day.

And it’s a two tiered hour glass shaped green where anything on the wrong section/tier is a likely three putt or a pitch from off the putting surface like #17 at Pebble Beach.

Whatever. You still have no prayer of hitting a major league pitch.

You could be right. And there might be someone on this board (other than 89 and I) who can keep their 2nd shot on the green on the Road Hole at St. Andrews.

Don't listen to two guys who have played in professional tournaments (albeit little ones).

Not even close to the same thing. Baseball players aren't just (well, most) going up and swinging - they are trying to place it as well, and control distance, height, etc.

Just admit it, golfers are spoiled pantywaists.

What the heck, why bash on curling out of the blue?!? At least they can handle noise without freaking out like the golf drama folks. Cow bells rattling all through an arena while they're sliding on ice and shooting stones. In the words of many a curling aficionado, curling rocks! :thumb:

A sport could be defined as a competition where, on average, males would out perform females. :|

I guessed you were fishing for 93 when Ganny took your bait.

The Danish curling team is fun to watch. It would be better if the women wore bikinis though. Is that mysoginistic?

Didn’t you grow up in rural NC, in the heart of NASCAR country? Figured you would have had friends & family that were NASCAR fans & would have been one yourself.

Judging by that swing and this pitch...

I think Chuck trying to hit a baseball would look significantly worse.
