Which I think is a great idea (and I'm not kidding)

I can't think of a better use for the American Military than building that wall

Nobody will die
everybody earns their money
actual work will get done
and the quality of the work can be earnestly evaluated

These ^ things pretty much NEVER happen with our Military today

Its actually a pretty good idea -

Throw the Army Corps of Engineers at it

In fact, during a large portion of its pre-Civil War history, the US Army was mostly engaged in security engineering, mostly coastal fortifications (I guess in case France decided to chomp us off instead of Mexico)

It will be entertaining -

Open borders types (read: Democrats) going down to constructions sites and harassing the military (chants of baby killers will come back into vogue)

CNN filming migrants finding ingenious ways over/under/through the wall as proof that walls don't work

Democrats vowing as part of campaign promises to take the wall down if elected

Won't happen, although it is the most plausible idea so far - Schumer and Pelosi will dangle the wall in front of Trump's cage while he shakes the wire and screams with impotent rage, hurling feces at anybody who comes near...

I thought the narrative was that these places are way too dangerous to live in (because of crime, gangs, imminent death, and intolerance of minorities). So which is it?
