2 Serious questions for you...JohnStOnge wrote:I know the Democrats' motivations are political. However, if the objective is to find the truth the charge to the FBI should be "find the truth." JSO, I get that you are basically in Trump Knee Jerk mode, but if you think this investigation has anything at all to do with seeking truth then you are gotdamn fool
This is about moving the confirmation down the road to the midterms - because the Democrats think that a confirmation fight ongoing during the election will help their turnout (possible), and even deliver them the Senate (much less likely but also possible).
If the Democrats were so interested in truth and justice they wouldn't have sat on this thing for nearly 3 weeks, and they also wouldn't have held from Dr. Ford that she had the option of giving her testimony from her home.
Dr. Ford said 3, maybe 4 people would know about the assault she is alleging. The FBI doesn't have time machines and they don't have a crystal ball, so the FBI is naturally going to have to start with those 4 (2 of whom are Ford and Kavanaugh themselves). IF any of those people identify additional witnesses, then the FBI will get clearance to talk to those people. There is no way they CAN'T, and if you think otherwise then you are not thinking logically.
One of the four people the FBI has been told to interview is Deborah Ramirez. That's the woman who says Kavanaugh exposed himself to her while both were at Yale. How is the FBI going to assess that without expanding its list of people interviewed beyond her?
If they are indeed allowed to expand as necessary that would be better. But, to me, they should not be given a list of people they are to interview to start with. In my opinion the FBI should be given an objective then IT should select the list of people to be interviewed; initial or otherwise.
How do you feel about Obama?
Did you vote for Hillary?
