North Texas fired coach after 66-7 Portland St. ass-whipping.

Dan McCarney has been fired as North Texas coach, the school announced an hour after a disappointing, blowout loss to an FCS program that continued a spiraling season.

The Mean Green lost their homecoming game to Portland State 66-7 on Saturday, falling to 0-5.

According to that article, my QBs coach has been named interim HC again (actually, he's the co-HC this time alongside the DC). Hopefully, the administration sees the light and makes Coach Canales permanent HC....

They will look to go in a different direction, not continue in this direction. They will hire from outside and the entire staff, except maybe one or two will be let go.

Turns out ESPN got that wrong. Mike Canales is the interim HC by himself. The DC is NOT a co-HC.
