2021 Little League World Series

Post by CAA Flagship »

Regionals are underway.
The Fighting Flagships are currently playing the 93Ivys. Winner plays the 89Hens.

I'll post a poll once the LLWS field is set.

I'm shocked my county could win state. Lacrosse would be another story.

We'll shit. Apparently the international teams will not participate this year in Williamsport. All eight regions will advance the two teams that meet in the Regional Finals to fill out the 16 team field.

Not surprised. All the Fighting Flaggys are 16 years old and shaving. :coffee:

The Trips eliminated the 89Hens.

The Fighting Flagships play the Gritty GannonFans on Thursday night. Winner advances to Williamsport.

Saw this article today - town already has a parade scheduled for these youngsters
The Fort Mill coach pitch all-stars are now World Series champs.

The 8U team made up of players from the town recreation league wrapped up the Dixie Youth Baseball World Series on Tuesday night with a win against Virginia. Fort Mill, playing as the South Carolina All-Stars, finished the 11-state tournament undefeated.

The Fort Mill team won district, state and the World Series tournaments without a loss.[/quote

11 state tournament for 8 year olds. I know it's common these days, but IMO it's still one of those things to just shake my head at. :ohno:

Ooof. The GannonFans pin first loss on the Fighting Flagships last night.

Tonight, in do or die game for both teams, the 93Ivys and the Fighting Flagships meet with LLWS on the line.

Field is set. Poll is up.

Had to double up a voting slot (poll max is 15) and chose Midwest since they have the longest drought for winning the US Championship

I'm rooting for Sioux Falls, SD. I've been to Sioux Falls. It's on the boring side of a bland state. Sioux Falls would be a pretty horrific place to live, so I'm pulling for the little bastards. Maybe they can get a scholarship and gtfo of there and move to Iowa or Fargo.

Is it true that someone threatened bodily injury to the 93Ivys if they didn't throw the game against the Fighting Flagships?

I watched some of Hawaii vs. Southern Cal today. Hawaii had an ambidextrous pitcher. I was impressed. I’ll vote for them.

Took the Homer pick. But Pennsylvania may be the best group of hitters I have seen in a long time. They have a lot of players with great swings.

Bummer, there won't be any public admission to the LLWS this year - they were planning a 3k complex limit every day (weren't going to be allowed in the bleachers, but could be everywhere else) but they just decided the other day to scrap that. Each team will get 250 passes, and high-level folks will be able to get in, but nothing else. Was still contemplating heading up there if we got tix through the 3k ticket lottery, but will just have to settle for watching at home.
