Tom Brady leaving the Pats

Post by Pwns »

Prediction: He has one really bad season and then decides to hang it up for good, and all his fanboys will still refuse to accept he's an overrated QB and the Bill Belichick is the guy that made the dynasty go.

It would be an epic SB matchup. Wonder if Brady would run off without shaking hands, like he did to the Eagles, if Belichick won?

Peyton Manning didn't shake Russell Wilsons hand after that Superbowl... and nobody cared

Two Monks were traveling together...
They came to a river with a strong current
As the monks were preparing to cross the river, they saw a young woman also attempting to cross
The woman asked if they could help her cross to the other side

The two monks glanced at one another because they had taken vows not to touch a woman

Without a word the older monk picked up the woman and carried her across the river and set her down

The younger monk couldn’t believe what had just happened. After rejoining his companion, he was speechless
hours passed without a word between them

Days later the younger monk could contain himself no longer
and blurted out “As monks, we are not permitted to touch women”

The older monk replied, “Brother, I put her down days ago why are you still carrying her?”

Cool story. That's great!

Doesn't change the fact that Brady is an asshole (and a proven cheater). :twocents:

What did Richard Petty say about cheating?

I don't like Brady and I don't like the Patriots but that guy was a winner.

I guess the four game suspension, the fine, and the docked draft choices were just based on a hunch. As was the destroyed cell phone. You win

So you are okay with cheating, so long as it leads to winning.

That pic reminded me how uniquely interesting Super Bowl logos used to be (first 3) and how generically lame they are now (last 3).

Tom Brady could lose his next 283 starts...
and still have a better career record than the Buccaneers

add to that
the guy has played QB for 20 years and still has better than a 3-to-1 TD to INT ratio

Like they sucked when Brady missed the season or was on a suspension?

Also, Tom Brady is not the reason the Pats so often shut down great offenses in the SB like the 2018 Rams, 2016 Falcons (second half), the Greatest Show on Turf...all great offenses.

Well, to be honest, they shut down that last example when they were still cheating, so that's a poor example.

Brady helped the Patriots in a myriad of ways.
- His salary was below market which freed up money for other players.
- He took the hard coaching without complaint which set an example for the other lesser known players.
- He made the offense and everyone on it better so the team could focus more money into the defense.

Belichek is a great coach but he benefited from having Brady as his QB as much as Brady benefited from having Belichek as his coach. It was a symbiotic relationship and it will be very interesting to see how they do without each other.
