Baseball is all about the Yankees, Sox, and Dodgers. They are the Great Trinity of Baseball.
All other lesser franchises exist for no reason other to give glory to the Great Trinity.
So if we call you a douche, then you're a douche.
Have you been getting into JSO's stash of psychodelics? You're living in the bubble that is NYC thinking that the world revolves around you when the rest of the country is really laughing at you. The Yankees are the Dallas Cowboys of baseball and the Red Sox were the east coast version of the Cubs until 2004 - loveable losers playing in a great stadium. Who cares about the Dodgers?
Ah, the discontented voices in occupied territory can be so convulsive.
The irony of a Red Sox or Yankees fan calling anyone else a douche ...

Why are the Dodgers in that same grouping? I don't remember them getting caught cheating and doping like the Yanks and Sox did. I'm sure the Dodgers would be offended to be included with those cheaters.

Are you visiting from your parallel universe again, in which the Yankees were doping and the Phillies have not lost over 11,000 games?

No, that's reality. The Phillies have lost an incredible number of games as a franchise over their 140+ years, and Andy Petite bent over so that Roger Clemens could put a needle in his butt. All while wearing the Yankee pinstripes. Cheaters.
Congrats to Donnie Baseball and the Marlins for making the post-season. I'm actually pulling for the Marlins to win it all.
The Yankees have so many World Series championships that it would be pointless to add this JV title to that list. Imagine already having 27 genuine WS trophies. Would you even display this one, if you had 27 real ones?

Yeah, it's embarrassing to finish 6 games out with that payroll.

Six games out of what? They played 60 games to tune up for a tournament this year.
I mean, it would only be a sad and pathetic franchise that would celebrate having the best record after 60 games. I mean the franchise would have to be so desperate for a "title" that they would call themselves the division titlists.

"But it was a short season!" The teams had to play with what they were dealt. You can eat your pretty excuses. Very unbecoming.

Well, let the craziness begin.
This playoff won't necessarily produce the best team as champions, but it will be entertaining. Especially the first round which is Best of 3 games.
The Yankees are once again ill-equipped for post-season play. All-or-nothing at-bats are not a proven playoff formula. And their pitching, especially their once dominant bullpen, will not be enough.
Yankees racking up Shane Bieber like no other team has done all season.
Figured this might happen. Bieber can get a lot of hitters in his division to chase pitches outside the zone. But the Yankee hitters are too disciplined to chase.
High OBP hitters like the Yankees know how to lay off the stuff that less-disciplined hitters in the Midwest bubble will chase.
Game of inches yesterday. Sano bases loaded ball 4 called a strike, then the ball beats him to first by inches on a short grounder to third. Then Maeda third strike is called a ball, next pitch is a ball 4, and a walk with bases loaded. So close, yet so far away from winning.

If (I mean "When") we win again, I'm going to celebrate like its the World Series.
At least its not like we're playing the Yankees again.

Minnesota Twins = LA Clippers of the MLB.
No matter how they look during the season, it is almost too funny watching them play in the playoffs.
Welcome back, Twinkies. Sure missed ya.
Hitting homers with the home run swing, against pitchers that are more apt to make mistakes during the regular season is a lot easier than hitting the home run with the home run swing, against pitchers that make few mistakes during the playoffs.
