AHEM

Nobody is bad enough to merit the title of Thundering Turd

not even the bizons

That title is exclusively reserved for Marshall ... and the jersey is retired

I wondered if that would bring out any of the Marshall haters. I will revise it to cvnt of snorty cvnts.
The UNI Panties can't cover anything.

DHing for the Phillies in the first game of a twin set against the Yankees today is...

Kyle Garlick?

Are the Phillies hitting up the Delaware Semi-pro league for DHs?

Wasn’t there a Private Garlick in Good Morning, Vietnam?

It was encouraging to get such a quality start out of Arrieta. The Phillies need him to be solid if they are going to compete.

Phils have absolutely no bullpen, might be the worst in the majors. There is zero chance the Phillies compete this year. Fortunately, we were spared of watching a whole season of this. Heck, doubleheaders go to 7 innings only and the Phillies still don't have a bullpen to cover shortened games. :ohno:

I reached the same conclusion after yesterday's games. This is simply not a very good team.

At least the Rays are showing signs of life after taking 3 out of 4 from the Yankees. :thumb:

The Phils pen is trying hard to give up a 13-1 lead in the 9th.

13-8 final. SMFH.

Nola pitched great for 8 innings.

Pivetta should be given his immediate release.

Gregorius with a salami.

Joe Girardi (my early pick for MLB Manager of the Year), brings in reserve first baseman Neil Walker, with his 78 mph fastball, to close out the top of the 9th in the Orioles sweep in Philadelphia last night.
Spoiler: show
He was the 2nd most effective pitcher of the six the Phils trotted out last night.

The Rays just wrapped up a three game sweep of the Yankmees in the Bronx to take over first place in the division.

The Yanks are now 1 - 6 against the Rays on the season.

15 - 3 against everybody else.

13-1 against everybody but the Rays and the Phillies.
