For all the Joe Buck hoopla about Washington’s strong regular season finish, the team’s average home attendance was 27,898. The fourth-place Phillies drew 33,671.
What were the totals in 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015....? Loser.
All years when the Nats made the playoffs and promptly crapped out. A better comparison is Nats attendance vs. Phillies attendance in non-contending years. By that comparison , Washington sucks ass.

Punk.
One team that sucks but packs them in is Colorado, almost 3 miL for the clown show they had. I wish people there would not go when they suck, ownership has no incentive to improve.

Great point. The Rockies seem to do well with attendance whether they get a Wild Card (2017-18) or stink (2019, 2016,2015). And the Broncos have always drawn well. The Avalanche, not so much.
Just seen this interesting ditty, the 2014 Detroit Tigers starting 5 all have WS rings, none with the Tigers. Scherzer, Sanchez, Verlander, Price and Porcello all have rings.

Problem is, it's hard to find non-contending years in Washington, loser.

I see, you want to go with old figures.
Yeah, 7 of the 15 years the Nats have been in Washington. It's barely even modern era.
So in 7 years the Lerners and Mike Rizzo built a team that has been consistently competitive to WS champs. Not too shabby for a franchise that had 3 winning seasons and no trips to the post season in their last 10 years in Montreal.

Joe is still a sore loser over the 2001 World Series.
But he can't help it, he's a Yankee fan. If the Yankees don't win the World Series, other teams cheated. And EVERY Yankee player ever should be in the Hall of Fame.
