There is a show in Ankeny this weekend, if you are over Covid, might be worth checking out and getting info from some of the dealers or collectors. Looks like free admission.

SGC Grading has been good for fast turn-around. Just received a Economy order back in 6 weeks, and my next order is in the mail, 4 week turnaround. I have been sending them Items that PSA does not grade, but with the recent increase in the economy price at PSA, I may be sending all my economy items thru SGC. PSA is around 8-10 months turnaround.

So much for SGC. The also raised their prices for economy grading. Jumped from $15 to $25 per card, but their turn-around time is much faster.

Buddy gave me a Michael Jordan rookie to send to SGC grading today. Expecting a grade in the 5-6 range, which is still a couple grand. Value ungraded is around $500 in this condition.

That's more expensive than that Honus Wagner card I used to hear about?

Basically consider myself in Des Moines when I see the Ankeny sign. One time it was just finishing a rain, and I was on I-35 by Ankeny, and looked in the ditch, and a rainbow was perfectly around the shadow of my car. That's my Ankeny story.

Looking to buy my first card in years. Not because it has value now, but more of a really long play for a UNI guy

I'm looking at autographed Spencer Brown cards on ebay. I can probably get one for about 10 bucks. Send it off to be graded and just squat on it

Found a Ty Cobb Youth bat at a Antique Mall, 31". Circa 1920.

Local Antique Dealer sold this to me. Babe Ruth Sinclair Oil Contest Baseball, Autograph looks real but it's was signed by a ghost signer for the contest in 1937. Still a nice period piece.

Figured as much, and wish I could be there. Man, what I wouldn't give to dump Jerry Jones so we can get White out of the broadcast booth and back on the field where he belongs as HC, and perhaps even as QB-P again....

Set up with 7 tables at the Gold Rush Antique Show in Rochester, MN, over the weekend. Sold a lot of my Dad's toy tractor collection to some great homes. Came home with 1.5 tubs out of 12 tubs that I brought. Met a lot of great collectors over the weekend, and looking to return again in May. Sports items also sold fast.

Johnny Bench has been one of the best signers at recent shows.
