Huh? The thread is about the next 15 years, and even the poll had us winning one or two. Plenty of time to actually get pitching and make that happen. Patience young grasshopper.

If we can pick up three good starting pitchers, an entire bullpen, a leadoff man, and a coach this offseason, we'll be all set for next year!!!

Phillies are a couple years away from being real contenders, Giants will be in last in division next year.

No hate just history. Like I've said before, Philadelphia is one of the many franchises I don't care about either way. But franchises from Philadelphia have won the World Series 7 times (5 for the Athletics and 2 for the Phillies). This is about every 16 years or so by my math challenged figuring. Given the fact that they have money to spend and are all in to win, I see no reason they shouldn't win another one in the next 15 years. Could be more than one, but only time will tell.

Phillies do have one thing that can never be taken away, Phil’s were the first to lose 10000 games

With recent events, is it time to look at this poll again?

Nope. They still suck, like every other Philadelphia team. My definition of suck is: will not win a championship this season.

Well, just 3 innings in, but the Phils couldn't have asked for a better 3 innings to start the year. Nola hasn't given up a hit so far, only base runner has been a HBP, and the Phillies open up the year with Schwarber working a full count and then jacking one out for a lead off HR. By the third, lineup has turned over, and Schwarber walks, Realmuto singles, Harper doubles to knock in a run, Hoskins singles knocking in two, Gregorious singles, knocking in one. It's like playing Monopoly and one player has one whole side of the board with all the properties with hotels on it. The Phils may not amount to much this year in the end of things (pitching will be interesting to say the least), but at least they'll be fun to watch hit the ball, which is something only Harper did for them any time recently.

Dude, 93 was all over this, although a couple of years ahead of time. Phils always had Nola so getting Wheeler was big, bullpen has plenty of arms in it, Schwarber was the leadoff guy they needed, and then they canned Giradi for Topper during the season and they did everything 93 asked for. Brilliant!

Harper's last swing of the NLCS at Citizens Bank was the Roy Hobbs-like HR that gave the Phils the final lead and ended that series, and his first swing in the World Series at Citizens Bank was the two run shot last night igniting them to go up 2-1 in the Series. Hard to even write that kind of stuff. Big game tonight - I think if the Phils win tonight they win it all. Still a lot of baseball to be played.
